What's Happening? So this is slightly odd. Love to hear everyone’s take.
About 2 weeks ago we were in our backyard with the dogs and ended up finding a credit card. It was a business card for a small photography company in Victoria (we live about 30 min away). Our yard is totally fenced in (wooden privacy fence). The only workers in our yard was a company to blow out the irrigation lines for the winter.
We called the business and left a voicemail saying hey we have your CC. Zero call back.
Stolen CC and dropped by irrigation worker or just tossed over the fence by someone else? Creepy photog owner somehow hoped the fence and dropped CC while in yard? Why no call back?

Or perhaps: The irrigation worker could be the photographer- especially if they were hired just for the blow out season.

Probably dropped by a crow. They collect shiny things, although a credit card is a bit large for them.

Once you lose a card it’s better to immediately report it lost and order a new one. And once you do that the old one is useless. So probably they’re just ignoring you

Contact the cc company, and inform them that you found it and will be dropping it off at the nearest Police station.
Let the cc company and Police contact the owner. Divest yourself of a meetup with the owner. It could turn out nasty as to their pov of how it disappeared. Both of them will protect your identity and how/where it ended up.

How old are you? Paranoid schizophrenia can develop well into your thirties.

I mean they probably already reported it stolen or lost and got a replacement so no need for the original back, and they could have reasonably thought that your message was a scam.
