DARNING Sock repair

I don't know if this technique has a name but in my head I call it fake Swiss darning, since I'm not duplicating real stitches but make them up as I go

Wow, I love this! I've never mastered actual Swiss darning (I can't knit and my eyes aren't great), so the thought of anybody doing it even where the fabric doesn't "demand it" fills me with awe!

Thank you so much 💕 ! I will let you in on a secret: i also can't knit hehe, it's more like embroidering little v shapes on a thing and making each row of shapes grab onto the previous row.

For me that's a bit easier than darning with a weaving technique because it comes out more evenly and feels a bit faster. I'm super bad with weaving in general

Heheh, thank you for the reveal (and the encouragement) -- I guess now I'll have to try too!

I did repaired socks and at some points repairs make them uncomfortable, so not sure how comfy they will be. But, it is done very well

Thank you! I usually get used to the sensation pretty fast so I'm hopeful, but I think that varies from person to person. Remains to be seen if they rub on my heels weird when I'm wearing shoes.
