Maui OUTRIGGER Ka'anapali Beach
I just got a deal for Costco for four nights. $1400, including a rental car for the entire time for this hotel. Something doesn't seem right. Is there something wrong with it? We're just looking for a nice safe, clean place that has plenty of beach chairs and a nice sandy beach

Depends on the season. In slow season that rate isn’t insane. I stayed there a few years ago. Very comfortable spot. Decent restaurant, great staff, and the area was great. The hotel beach was very nice.

Thats a great deal for the area. We found ourselves driving from kihe to that area for snorkeling almost every day when we went this summer.

The beach isn’t across the street - it’s directly behind the hotel. It’s been a while, but my husband and I stayed there frequently when it was the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel (prior to being under the Outrigger umbrella). It was the most affordable and probably least fancy hotel on that stretch of Ka’anapali (south of Black Rock), but we really liked it.

I love that place. I stay there every time I'm in Maui. If beach and snorkeling is your preference I would 100% stay here cuz it’s the closest hotel to the Sheraton in front of black rock and only like 2 hotels down from Whalers Village. Perfect central location to both main things that Kaanapali offers. Really great grounds too. My Costco packages with them comp'd parking, so that's a bonus not paying an additional 40 bucks a day next door. Maui Brewing Company restaurant on site with live music every night.

I stayed there. Great location, rooms with full kitchen. It will be beneficial to rent a car for sightseeing, picking groceries , etc. Parking is tight, though. Lots of cars for the size of parking lot.

Fo real that area is so tough to find parking
It’s a good deal. On that island I feel a car is necessary. Now make your Merrimans reservation

It’s an older spot but it works and is in a nice area. The pool is very small and is due to be renovated in the very near future. I’d call and make sure there won’t be major construction during your stay.

You cannot get a better location in Ka'anapali, in my opinion. It's my favorite place to stay.

This is $1400 for hotel and car, add $600 for flights and it's the same. How is it expensive?

The beach is across the street from all the resorts. So I doubt there's going to be beach chairs. Unless renting them.
I'm not getting the "something doesn't seem right." That's a fairly normal price.
You could easily get an entire week for less. $1,200 or so. (Doesn't come with a rental car, though. So add that on.)

The last one is the best deal because it has a full kitchen.

The Outrigger KBH property is literally next to the beach. All of that stretch of Kaanapali is.
The places you linked are on crappy beach areas---- like zero to tiny. The Hilton timeshare is a converted Embassy Suites and isn't on Kaanapali beach. The two in Kahana are dense and rarely have a beach.
Very poor choices compared to north Kaanapali and the central Kaanapali beach.
