Welcome to WebReputationMgmt!
Hey everyone,
I’m excited to announce the launch of a new subreddit: WebReputationMgmt. This platform is dedicated to everything online reputation management (ORM). Our goal is to create a space where professionals, brands, business owners, and individuals can gather to share insights, strategies, and experiences. It was initiated from Recover Reputation.
Why WebReputationMgmt?
Frankly it’s difficult to get real, unbiased information on ORM. Since searches significantly impact sales, trust, and personal narratives, managing online reputations has become crucial. So, recognizing the need for a dedicated community space, we at Recover Reputation initiated WebReputationMgmt. This subreddit aims to serve as a comprehensive resource for ORM, where the community can post questions, find answers and discuss issues.
Creating a Learning and Sharing Community
WebReputationMgmt is more than just a discussion forum. It's a dynamic community fostering real-world solutions. Whether you're a seasoned expert or a novice, we will provide value and insights to enrich your understanding and application of ORM strategies.
Our Commitment to Professional and Respectful Dialogue
Be human. Yes, I know Reddit can be a wild place, but let’s be civil. We emphasize maintaining a professional and respectful environment here. Unlike some other subreddits that may have issues with spam or low-quality content, we focus on keeping discussions insightful and constructive. It's a space where everyone seeking ORM guidance can feel welcomed.
Leveraging Reddit's SEO Influence
With Reddit increasingly appearing in Google's search results, this subreddit also aims to be a credible and authoritative source in web management. It reflects our commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and practices in the reputation management.

Can negative reviews be deleted?
Well, it depends:
- If it's true, learn from your mistakes
- Check the Terms of Service of the platform carefully
- If it's copyright violation, fake, or goes against ToS, then it might be removed
- Try recommended channels to delete
- MAYBE reach out of lawyer but probably not worth it

How do you fix false ChatGPT or Google Gemini hallucinations about an executive or company when traditional ORM fails? [Research Breakdown]
TL;DR: Traditional Online Reputation Management (pushing negative links to Page 2 of Google) does not work on Generative AI. Large Language Models pull from deep web archives regardless of search rank. Fixing false AI summaries or hallucinations requires Generative Reputation Management: repairing the underlying Knowledge Layer through trusted domain placements, structured entity data, and direct model feedback.
Senior executives, fund managers, and corporate boards work with SEO or PR agencies to bury an old news article or an outdated regulatory dispute on Page 2 or Page 3 of Google. Google Search finally looked clean. Then a prospective investor or board member typed their name into ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Perplexity, and the AI spat that buried story right back out in the very first sentence.
Traditional reputation management only dresses up the Presentation Layer (what a human sees on Page 1 of search results). AI models do not stop at Page 1, when a model synthesizes an answer, it reads the deeper Knowledge Layer across the web.
Last year I published a peer reviewed paper in the Journal of Organizations, Technology and Entrepreneurship (JOTE, 2025) looking at how to actually fix this. Across our client work from 2024 through 2026, applying a structured three part repair process cut negative LLM hallucinations by an average of 84%.
Here is what actually moves the needle:
1. Figure out if you have an Information Vacuum or an Archival Weight problem Many private equity partners, hedge fund principals, and executives purposely stay offline for privacy. The problem is that when a single lawsuit, short seller report, or hostile blog goes live, the AI has zero verified biographical data to weigh it against. It treats that single negative link as the entire truth, in other cases, a fifteen year old article on a major newspaper site carries so much domain authority that the AI keeps citing it even though it sits on Page 3 of Google.
2. Build Verifiable Ground Truth where AI models actually look Putting up fifty low quality blog posts on random websites does nothing these days. LLMs heavily favor specific, high trust domains and structured databases. Before an AI model will drop a false narrative, you have to build a consistent footprint of factual data across the places models already trust: verified entity registries like Wikidata, Crunchbase, and ORCID, authoritative industry press, and an official site running clean schema markup.
3. Submit direct evidence based feedback to the models Once that factual footprint is live on trusted sites, you do not just sit around waiting six months for the next training run. By using the models' own feedback systems (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) and citing the newly published authoritative sources as proof, you can force the retrieval system to update how it summarizes the person or company.
4. Lock in the data so it does not revert later Make sure every major directory, knowledge graph, and authoritative bio states the exact same core facts so the next model update does not drift back to the old rumor.
Has anyone else here dealt with a situation where Google Page 1 looks totally fine, but ChatGPT, Gemini, or Google AI Overviews keeps bringing up an old issue? Happy to share what we are seeing across the different models right now.
