Hope you don't mind me scooching into this convo. I have both but haven't found a single helpful medication or therapy. What has helped you?

i underwent transcranial magnetic stimulation!!!

it’s an FDA-approved treatment for numerous diagnoses (i originally went for treatment resistant depression!)

i had to do 38 sessions total, 30 min each, monday-friday for about 7 weeks. it increased the neuroplasticity of my brain enough for me to come off of vyvanse and wellbutrin. i’m only on one remaining med (effexor).

My psych offers this and just moved his office closer to me…I think it might be time for me to finally give it a try!

please do consider it! i told my partner i felt like a husk the day of my assessment. now... i feel alive at 37. it's the difference between an 8-pack of crayons, black and white, and a 156 pack with the sharpener.

i'll be sending good vibes your way. <3

Yeah, I feel like I’m always burnt out and keep falling into deeper depressions that have gotten harder and harder to claw my way out of and I keep self-sabotaging by procrastinating, self-isolating, impulsively spending beyond my means for a hit of dopamine…the list could go on. I’m 40. 😮‍💨

Thank you, I will speak to my psych for sure! 🖤

What a great description! I’m so happy for you that you found a treatment that made such a huge difference
