Whattaburger gave me the micro tendy for my two tendy order. They better count their days.

Whataburger has been going down hill since they moved corporate from Corpus to San Antonio and they merged with that Chicago company.

Acquisitions and mergers are death knells for good places to eat.

Yup, it is for sure not the burger joint on the way to the beach that it was when I was a kid.
They've lost that Texas taste and service.

That shit was personal like wth lmao, i have rarely ever gone back into a fast food joint for food corrections im usually like “meh whatever”
But I would walk back in and be like this has to be an accident right can I get my actual meal

u/doubleohzerooo0 1d ago
That other tendy? Oh, that's Carl. We're old friends. We sometimes hang out, nothing to worry about.
And on another note: damn girl, that's a thick thumb you got!

I don’t get the whataburger hype. I’ve been there twice because other people wanted to go both times. Very mid.

u/Wonderful_Horror7315 13h ago
Like so many beloved things, it’s not remotely like it used to be. It became absolutely terrible when majority stake was sold to a private equity in Illinois in ‘19, but the quality had been going down for years prior to that.
2
u/Zerokelvin99 4h ago
It's fallen in quality but for a fast food burger its still a good option. Whataburger made by the correct person running the grill makes a huge difference. Im not kidding I'm between two, one is a new store, super clean, and mostly staffs college kids, its mid at best. The other is dingy despite being renovated, slow AF, and there's probably 20 teeth between all the staff working but that location makes the best burgers. My point is some are better than others now but the tenders will always be meh

Nah this shouldn't be downvoted, not worth throwing a hissy fit in the restaurant over like 30cal of tendie its just a "well, that sucks" kinda situation

I’m not sure why this got downvoted either. As someone who has worked in fast food I don’t complain about my order unless it’s wildly wrong. When stuff like this happens they’re usually too understaffed, too busy, or they’re low on stock.

Man it's like the small slivers of chicken I use to get from Sonic. It was like a quarter of the big nugget there.

u/Cool_Energy_3085 1d ago
Idk, the one on the right looks way too big. The one on the left is definitely big enough - adequate, even

Jacks in the box did the same except they gave me a bunch of small nuggies to replace the premium chicken tenders i was supposed to get.

What did you expect from a restaurant that takes 97 minutes to get out a simple burger order.

u/limpbisquick123 1d ago
the big one is clearly bullying the little one for lunch money. whataburger portion control is truly broken logic.

I love the idea that someone saw this before they put in your bag and said “yep this is fine”. Theyre assholes but its humorous in a “that unbelievable” way.

Whattaburger does chicken tenders now? They can barely do burgers. I went to a couple in Corpus Christi and was so underwhelmed.

What kind of moron counts only by number? That is less than a nugget. No one orders one tender and half a nugget.
Bare minimum I'm getting another tender and someone is getting in trouble.
2
u/Tabooftw 1d ago
“Someone is getting in trouble” dude they don’t even make living wages you think they give af? 😂

What if the 2nd tendy is just massive and they compensated.
