Tent queries please

So planning on doing a fast and light WHW 4-5 days. Planning on heading off mid Feb.

I was thinking of taking the NH Mongar 2 UL.

Has anyone completed it in Feb and used a similar tent with no issues?

Thanks

February. very short days. cold wet and miserable likely. snow and frost possible. many buisnesses enroute on short winter hours

Depends where you're camping. If you're at campsites you'll be fine. If you're wild camping on an exposed hillside I would recommend something more storm worthy.

Hopefully campsites, I believe there are plenty on the way through.

Yeah - but how many of them will be open in February?

As the other guy says, check which campsites are open.

I’ve never used that tent so can’t really advise on specifics. In February the weather is probably going to be a little rough, so it might be a good idea to prioritise a strong tent over an ultralight one.

You need a 4 season tent in Feb.

Yeah, made the decision to do just that, looking at the Tarptent Scarp 1.

Why not wait one month and do it in March. Scotland in February is dreich and cold.
