White Rock cleanliness

I was at white rock the other night, I saw many large rats running near the washrooms and in general along the walking paths.

I also notice as of late has a lingering smell of certain odours that seem to linger.

It has certainly changed over the years.

The rats have been there for many years...nothing new

Does that justify it then?

Does it justify that.....that's where they live?? I dont understand your question? They've been there since I walked there in high school, 20+ years ago, just because the area is more built up, they're not gonna pack up and leave.
And the ocean there has always had the fishy smell. It. Is. The. Ocean.

Not sure why your going on the defensive. I’m saying rats running around in massive flocks isn’t a good thing, I’m simply bringing awareness to the health and safety concerns of it.

Also the smell criticism was towards the Curry odours. Which I found unpleasant

Odors are likely from rotting sea grass or the huge pile of fresh soil at Foster Martin (assuming fresh manure mixed in).

As for the rats, they’re not dirty, they’re just wildlife. There are lots of squirrels, seagulls and crows, too.

Rats are indeed dirty .... Squirrels can be too. They are omnivores and scavengers... Let's not feed the wild life with liter or other

No it smelt like Curry, which was unpleasant.

I used to work on the strip, and this is not a new phenomenon. When it gets dark, hoards of rats come out and cover the promenade.

What lingering smell are you speaking of

It smells like strong Curry

See. I knew it was going to be racist

Exuse me? What does a smell of Curry have to do with racism?

That’s the “change” and “smell” you’re talking about.

That must be it, but I don’t appreciate you throwing that word around. I have a right to criticize any culture. It has nothing to do with racism

Yes it does

I think you need to look up the definition of the word then.

You made an account last night to post about a curry smell.

There were always a lot of rats at White Rock beach - as far back as the 80s and 90s when I grew up there. I remember seeing them running around at night between the shrubs. Not a huge big deal… they gotta live somewhere too :)
