Why, when he looks at the camera, do you just know you’d think he would try something like this, even if you never saw the video?

Mostly it would just feel really unpleasant but sugar is also a fantastic growth medium for some really nasty bacteria. I had my septum repaired last month and after the surgery they were really specific about me only using boiled bottled water mixed with salt as a rinse so I didn't end up melting my brain or needing my face bones removed.

My girlfriend got work done on her nose. The doctor said to boil some water and use that to flush...then thought about what he said and had to specify "boil some water, let it cool, then use that as a flush."

I think that's about the amoeba

u/ThatOtherOtherMan Reviewed his life insurance policy 22h ago
It's also about the amoeba, but there are all sorts of other nasty things potentially in your tap water that get melted by your digestive tract but would set up a thriving civilization in a sinus abrasion.

Yeah, that makes sense. I always just drop the $1.99 on distilled since I'm rinsing so much.

Easiest explanation is:
Try breathing through your nose with tongue sticking out.
Then try breathing at the same time while swallowing.
Both are impossibleThere are two ducts in your throat. One leading to your lungs, other to your stomach.
When one duct is in use other closes. To attempt to “breathe liquid into your stomach” is virtually impossible.
You would need to have really good muscle control, where you can breath it into your mouth, hold it there, and then swallow it.3

Wait I tried and I can breathe through my nose with my tongue sticking out. Mouth closed and wide open.
This lady sitting next to me on a crowded subway just shifted as far as she can away from me

and wide open.
That's literally not possible. You can't breathe with your nose if your mouth passage isn't obstructed.

Mostly I think the very acidic nature of soda on your soft nasal lining and sinuses, but also the carbonation and fizz would swell up and put pressure on all of those very sensitive mucus membranes. Also if you get soda in your sinuses it will grow bacteria and cause major infection

I imagine the only thing worse is accidentally reverse-snorting an acid burp. Trust me, not fun.
