Question cursing an experienced witch

I'm a baby witch. l've done only some minor spells that have worked out. a few didn't work, as in, I didn't receive anything back.

These spells were mostly done for practice. The reason got into witchcraft is, as visible in the title, to curse someone, a person who had intervened in my family. I know her nickname and remember her face vividly. I know for sure that she is a witch as well.

And the question is simple: could I jump straight in if some of my spells worked? Would she know I did those I've never cursed someone before.

You can lay a curse at any experience level, that’s not the issue. But if she has reversals in place you’re going to get hit with your own curse. You need to have very reliable protection in place to take on an experienced practitioner.

Your best bet is to figure out what tradition she works out of and try a curse from a completely different tradition that hers may not cover. Find a chink in the armor so to speak.

To me, your post reads kinda like this:

“I’ve never fired a gun before. I bought a gun to shoot someone specific. That person is a trained assassin. Think I could take them out?”

I don’t think this is a good idea.
