Career Advice Finally quit my toxic job after 2 years
Recently quit my toxic job after two years, I was originally valet for a local Hyundai dealership. I was quickly moved up to service representative within less than a year. Another service rep who is very close to the director because he grew up with his daughter was also moved up to service advisor when this change was made, he quickly realized he didn’t want to be a service advisor and I believe, in an attempt to get me to quit he started micro managing me, abusing me to get me to quit. I was called incompetent in front of my customers for months straight until one day I finally couldn’t take it anymore and walked out. This was about a month ago but I’m wondering if I did the right thing, I loved everyone there but I refuse to fight for something I earned while being disrespected on top of it. I’m now on unemployment.
