Hi everyone! I received an email on Friday saying that I had moved on to the next stage of the WBG YPP and needed to complete the HireVue assessment by Monday, October 19. However, it’s already Sunday, and I still haven’t received the HireVue link. I’ve sent several emails but haven’t heard back yet. Has this happened to anyone else, or has everyone already received their HireVue link?

So I got the 72h email to do the hirevenue assessment, but I didn’t receive any email regarding references. It shows, however, the possibility to include references on my WB page.

The fact that some of you are not only receiving the said references’ email but also a deadline is quite confusing. Are of you in the same situation? If so, what approach are you taking? Are you contacting your referees already?

Hiya just wondering if anyone else received their email on Saturday? I received mine around 9 am so based on the 72-hour deadline that would mean my deadline is Tuesday at around 9 am right? The turnaround feels a little tight, so I just wanted to check that I’ve understood it correctly as I’ve seen quite a few people mention that their deadline is Monday.

Also has anyone completed the task for the E&S stream? I’d really appreciate any feedback suggestions or tips if anyone is happy to share. Thanks so much in advance!

So much for equitable and diverse hiring when complete randomness could rule out a candidate simply because their referee has exactly one day without capacity because they are travelling/sick/too busy on critical matters/any other reasonable event that could happen to any person at any time. How are the references submitted? The shortlisting email speaks of "reference forms". Are these to be found within the HireVue assessment, or have they reached any of you through a separate email?

What questions have been asked for the hireview on demand interview ?

Is it true that UG interns don't go for a full-time role at world bank as opposed to a master's student? Usually masters students are considered for a full-time post their internship and the same doesn't apply to ug? Any examples from past where ugs were chosen?

Has anyone submitted a special accommodation request to the YPP team? I got injured few days ago and can’t use my right hand which is my dominant hand and was wondering if they respond to special accommodatio request for the hirevue stage.

My portal shows pending task of reference request but I haven't received any form of email communication about being longlisted/hirevue or anything about deadline or number of references. Anyone else with same issue?

Anyone Longlisted from the Investment Stream?

Hi everyone,

I was recently shortlisted for the next stage of the World Bank Group Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2027 cohort.

Unfortunately, while completing the reference request form, I accidentally clicked Submit after entering only one referee’s details. I didn’t realize the form would become inaccessible after submission, and I can no longer add my remaining referees.

I immediately replied to the reference request email explaining the mistake and asking for the form to be reopened or reset. I also contacted the YPP recruitment team directly, but I haven’t received a response yet.
The deadline for completed references is October 19, so I’m getting quite worried.

Has anyone experienced this during the current recruitment cycle?

Were you able to get the form reopened or receive a new link?

How long did it take for the recruitment team to respond?

I’d really appreciate any insight.

Update: They have responded to my email. The form has been reopened and the deadline extended to October 21.
