Superpowers/Magic Upon waking up tomorrow, WYR discover that a wizard has transformed you into a stunning perfect ten, into the physically strongest person in the world, or has deposited one million dollars into your bank account?

Modelling as the 10 will net more than 1M in investments.

I don't even need the modeling money. Just give me a true 10/10 looks genetic template. How I'll explain to everyone around me? No clue. I'd look so different, my clothes won't fit, and I'd likely need a new passport or license.

u/Protomesh 1d ago
I wonder how on earth would you even get a new ID, you answer every question correct but they still doubt you 😭

u/Daztur 1d ago
Fingerprints? Just tell people you lost a lot of weight and had cosmetic surgery that went really well or something.
-7
u/Protomesh 1d ago
I don't think my fingerprints have ever been taken
Also I don't think a cosmetic surgery is enough to explain it since I'd go from a man into a woman.
It's going to be a veeeeery drastic and impossible change.
Even my height would be affected.

u/wideHippedWeightLift 1d ago
Who said anything about the 10 being a woman?
-12
u/Protomesh 1d ago
Because all men are ugly and even the best looking man would never be 5/10...

u/wideHippedWeightLift 1d ago
I can't tell if you're satirizing the average straight Redditor, you are the average straight Redditor, or you're a deeply repressed 4chan trans woman

You dont even need to model... if you are truly a 10/10 you can definitely marry into a very rich family and be set for life. You can even be an influencer, politician, whatever.
Seriously, its the best chocie by far

My appearance is the reason I'm depressed so getting a total makeover is absolutely what I need.
The million won't make me happy, but the new 10/10 appearance will.

Surprised so little people picked the strength option.
Being the strongest in the world would mean that my body is in peak physical condition. I am assuming because I acquired the "powers" through magical means, I would say goodbye to joint pain and any kind of chronic pain for the rest of my life.
I would feel so healthy in my body it's a no brainer. The confidence boost from that alone would be astronomical.
On top of all of that, it would be ridiculously easy to capitalize and earn money from being the strongest person in the world, to the point where it invalidates the 1M option.
Off the top of my head these are the multiple revenue streams I can think of: 1. Social Media ad revenue (just post myself lifting stuff no other human can and get high view counts) 2. Brand/Product Endorsements 3. Strongman Competitions 4. Event Appearances 5. Commercial Advertisements 6. OnlyFans (I mean this isn't really required but I bet you a ton of people would like to see what the strongest person in the world looks like underneath it all) 7. UFC or other Fighting Competitions (I wouldn't touch this realistically but it's always an option) 8. TV Shows / Movies (one good example is Hafthor Bjornsson aka The Mountain from GOT who is a strongman in real life)
And probably a bajilllion other opportunities that would be given to the world's strongest man that I can't even think of at the moment.
Being a perfect 10 is sweet - but there are multiple perfect 10s in the world. There is only 1 world's strongest man. Wayyy easier to market - on top of all the health benefits.
Perfect 10s can absolutely look stunning on the outside but feel like shit on the inside and even have all sorts of health conditions.
World's strongest man option nullfies that a little bit (since being at peak physical condition hugely reduces illnesses and ailments to a degree).

You can still be sick in many ways while being strong. Mentally ill, blind/deaf, skin diseases, neurological decline, genetic defects etc would not prevent you from being the strongest
4
u/Burbursur 1d ago
You are correct - which is why I said is nullifies it a little, not compeltely eliminates it. It's another passive buff you get from choosing that option.
Also between the looks option and this, the looks option will increase the chances of mental illness more than the strength option.
I can't imagine obssessing over being a visual perfect 10 and maintaining that everywhere you go is healthy for the mind.

u/teklanis 1d ago
People didn't pick stength because it's not helpful for most people.
Strength at that level comes at a lot of cost. Strongmen are not notably healthy people.
It does not preclude joint, internal organ damage, or other issues. This is a mistaken assumption on your part. Strongmen are a incredibly prone to major joint damage and delayed chronic issues. Anecdotally, I am easily stronger than my partner, but I have chronic joint pain while they do not.
You will lose significant flexibility.
Your body will change drastically unless you are already a powerlifter. This will require a complete skeletal rebuild (including changing proportions) to prevent you from hurting yourself exerting the strength.
As an aside, I'm curious what this would require for a woman. Would there need to be DNA changes to allow for cellular maintenance?
Perhaps you end up healthier than the average person, but anyone who isn't already focused on strength is massively disadvantaged bynthisnoprion with very few benefits. The magical easy money re idea is also silly. Every idea is predicated on first pricing you're the strongest person in the world and being able to maintain social engagement, which you cannot guarantee. The UFC idea is a laugh.
Either other option is likely better. 10/10 is too subjective and difficult to compare. Million dollars is pretty simple and objectively a better option for most people.

I would assume the "power" comes with surrounding buffs to not make every option a huge downside.
Only OP can answer this though.
6
u/Prais3_the_Sun 1d ago
My first thought was, does this magical wizard prevent me from fucking up my body when I use my strength ala Ronnie Coleman? Because that’s a pretty huge flaw if not. Eddie Hall was the strongest man in the world at one point, but it would have killed him long term.
2
u/Burbursur 1d ago
I would assume the buff comes with the appropriate infrastructure and surrounding buffs to make it work on a reasonable level (i.e. your physical traits like bones and tendons and everything else will increase in strength and durability to match but you'll still be able to get cancer or something).
I mean if not, it kinda defeats the entire point of the poll cos it basically becomes a Monkey's Paw situation.
3
u/Prais3_the_Sun 1d ago
All three could be monkey paw situations:
- Suddenly become a beautiful person but realise no-one values your thoughts and only wants your body.
- Gain a million but always regret a real life changing opportunity that money could never buy instead.
3
u/Burbursur 1d ago
You are correct but it is reasonable to assume that OP didn't approach this poll with a Monkey's Paw mindset.
Because if not he would've posted it in the corresponding subreddit.

This^ I'm already an athlete competing at a fairly elite level. Giving me peak physical would literally make me easily one of the best if not the best in my sport. That's worth a hell lot more than 1 million. And then like the poster above said, you can also leverage it in so many other ways.

I would be happy being more attractive, but its not super important to me. Same for being strongest.
But being $1M richer? Perfect, I can easily build the life I want with that.

I could pick up gramma across the street, or carry all the groceries ma wants

u/jaredtheredditor 1d ago
Personally, if they deposited 1 mil in my bank account I would think they fucked me in my sleep… so not that
Being the strongest person in the world isn’t necessary for anything I want either, and I have a fairly good base so if I need to be stronger I can reach that myself.
Being a 10/10 would help me a lot tho, like I’m not ugly now, but I am awkward as fuck, so being the best looking person around will help with stuff.

2
u/twoddalmighty 1d ago
Being better looking doesn't mean you wouldn't still be awkward.

u/jaredtheredditor 1d ago
Yeah but being “hot” makes awkward interactions less of a mood/conversation killer. Though when I think about it, if that is how I define it I might be doing better than I thought?

u/Few-Piglet- 1d ago
A perfect ten would be the most useful I think. Strength would be nice too, but if it's just slightly stronger than than the second strongest human, it wouldn't be exactly super strength. Depends a bit on what it means exactly, am I stronger than anyone else in every regard? Meaning I can lift more as well as do more pullups? Also it'd need to be magical, I wouldn't want a great amount of extra bulk to destroy my health.
1 million dollars is a joke compared to the other options, I can't help but laugh derisively that the majority picked that option.

u/Negative_Coast_5619 1d ago
I pick a million dollars because I can be the strongest person in the world, but no energy or motivation. A stunning perfect ten would yield too much of a difference where people would be like "who are you". Also no energy for anything else further that results from that.

would love to see age break down by answer. at my age being a 10 and strong isnt as appealing. if I were still in my 20s yes. but needing retirement and healthcare money is different. lol

I need more details on strongest. How’s my bone and joint health? Is it just muscular output?

u/MistressLiliana 1d ago
As much as I want to be a perfect 10, the money would get me the life I want.

u/Squatch0 1d ago
Make me a perfect 10 outta 10 and the money will follow and I'll just work out to be stronger than average
1
u/AlgunasPalabras1707 1d ago
My disability would inherently have to be cured to make me the strongest person in the world, so I'll take that one
1
u/Cookie_Doughnut 1d ago
With no obvious physical changes, strongest person in the world would be hilarious. Also op and sick as fuck.

u/recoveringpatriot 6h ago
I assume being a perfect 10 also comes with a certain level of fitness, even if you aren’t winning strongman competitions.
1
u/pile_of_fish 5h ago
Its on a 13 point scale, with 8 being the best, right? So 10 us just kinda nice looking... ill take the cash.
1
u/small_latchamatte 1d ago
How strong are we talking? I could potentially make money off lifting and moving things that no one else can lift on their own
4
u/SurroundFinancial355 1d ago
We are talking strongest in the world. You can lift exactly 1kg more than anyone else in any lift
1
u/Cheap-Doughnut7234 1d ago
I'm not a perfect 10 and I already don't like the attention I get from men so I would pass on that. Being strong seems like it would be exhausting. What would ppl expect me to do when they ran into me on the street to demonstrate my strength? I would take the money.

u/Timely-Beautiful9497 1d ago
1 mil is not that big amount of money..
If you are 10 to 10 you can manupulate very rich people

u/Dry-Egg8573 1d ago
Does “strongest person in the world” mean I’m no longer chronically ill?
