I'll never forget how the intro of this T.V. show terrified me as a child.

Especially since my grandfather would be watching it as 7 year old me was trying to go to sleep 😱 Let the nightmares ensue!

I always tried to go to sleep before that intro came on. I knew I would struggle if I heard that song play.

One of my favorites!

And yes, the intro would actually creep me out. Still does, kinda.

But this, Tales from the Crypt, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, and Monsters, were all awesome!

This and the Outer Limits = 10 year old me didn't sleep in the dark for years

Yeah, but Tales from the Crypt was like 50/50 horror-camp comedy.

The Outer Limits directly messed with your head.

Yep very true. Outer Limits or Tales from the Darkside had this extremely creepy invisible vampire one that gave me nightmares

I remember kinda recreating this on a synth a few years ago and immediately got chills when I hit the same distorted chords.

You ever see the one where the parents are telling a spooky story at Christmas and suddenly giant monster hands start busting thru the windows and shit? I don’t know how I was allowed to watch this show at such a young age.

The Grither! I talk about this episode all of the time. It terrified me as a kid. Wish this show was streaming somewhere so I could rewatch!

My dad loved this show and would watch it on the weekend, and yeah the intro scared the bejeezus outta me.

When I got older I really got into it as well as the 80s Twilight Zone. Both are freaking great!!!
