Xennials are all in their 40ās now.
Name something you have removed from your life since your youth.

I just had a sudden flashback of a frog filled with sand that I used to have. Its toe had a little hole in it, so I had it taped up so it wouldn't leak sand everywhere. Anyone else remember these things?
Photo borrowed from an old Etsy listing.

Is it cracking anyone else up hearing INCREDIBLY inappropriate songs from our youth used in commercials now? Like did anyone approving this listen to the lyrics? There was I think an Apple ad using the Pixieās Gigantic a few years ago that killed me.

The song "Freefalling" by Tom Petty the background vocals sing "free-fallin' now I'm, free-fallin now im" but because I work with a lot of guys who are native soanisj speakers. Now I hear "Frijol en agua, frijol en agua"
There. Now you have to live with that too.

To show my 12 year old nephew. A quintessential movie representative of the 80s. Has a solid 80s soundtrack, stars someone at the top of their game and the plot is not a fantasy or sci-fi but includes depiction of real (or semi-real) life in the 80s.

Iām watching Clue for the millionth time with my kids and it the third āreally happenedā ending always confuses me.
how was there time for the final three murders? the timeline is just too tight. right?
also, the actual Mr Boddy, with the slick backed hair and two-toned shoes, does not look or behave at all like a butler.
movie is still 10/10 but ⦠it doesnāt make sense, right?

Two different yearbooks, both from the same year. First four photos are from a school in Oologah, Oklahoma. Last four photos are from a school in Santa Barbara, California.
I'll share the answer in a bit!
Edit: we've done two other rounds this past week if you want to search it up and take a look!
Edit: ANSWER is 92!

I was talking to my niece whoās about 10 younger than me about these. She grew up in NYC where Iāve always lived in LA and she said she never saw these before. Curious if these were just regional or if they were always there on the market checkout line. I also remember always wanting one, but never got one. Anyone remember these?

Im an elder millennial (82 born) who graduated from high school in 2001 and I remember preferring The Smiths and Bowie along with old school Prince to crap like Creed and Limp Bizkit. I also considered teen pop to be too corny and overproduced for my tastes.
Anyone else who felt the same way themselves?

I've always been a jeans guy. When I used to hike, it was always either in jeans or cargo shorts.
After a break of several years, I started hiking again this summer. Jeans felt too constricting and I'm more concerned with ticks in my older years so I ruled out cargo shorts.
So, I bought a pair of cargo pants (and sprayed them with Permethrin; a product I discovered this summer that kills ticks instantly). So much more comfortable than jeans! Now I feel like I may start wearing them regularly.
I've been wearing Wrangler jeans for years and have been wearing their cargo shorts for years as well. So, I picked up their cargo pants.
Anyone else? If so, what brand?
Edit: I'm also a nature/landscape photographer. So they come in real handy while hiking.
