Bartlett Yarn
While on vacation in Maine, I stopped at Bartlett yarn in Harmony. There is a working fiber mill there and across the street is a little store where they sell the yarn. It was pretty cool to see the mill. They might offer tours but we were pressed on time. I picked up this hank of wool yarn and I’m not quite sure what to make with it.

I’ve bought a fair amount of Bartlett Yarn. It’s lovely. Not soft, but it’s nicely made.

They do an open house and mill tour one weekend in August every year! I’m using some of their yarn now for a stranded color work sweater.

That deep navy is gorgeous, almost looks black in some lights I bet. I’ve got a couple skeins of Bartlett yarn from a trip to Maine few years ago and it wears like iron. The lanolin smell when you’re knitting is something else, very sheepy in the best way.
For a single hank maybe a hat with a folded brim, something simple to let the yarn texture show. They leave little bits of hay in sometimes which I actually like, makes it feel properly rustic. Or cowl if you don’t want to fuss with decreases.
