ST-3100001 Error
Please take a look at the performance thread for information or conversation in relation to game performance. We have received reports that error code 'ST-3100001' appears while playing ACE COMBAT ONLINE, preventing players from continuing the game. This error code appears when communication with the game server is lost.
Please check the following settings: Synchronizing the time on Windows.
Please check to see if there is a time discrepancy, synchronize the time on Windows, and then test the game again. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation.

I am losing my goddamn mind here.
Two days ago I could play Online no problem. Yesterday and today I'm getting nothing but ST-3100001 and ST-3100002 errors. I've tried everything. I've rebooted the game, I've verified files, I've done a fresh install, I've re-synced my computer time, I've even tried the play a campaign mission first trick that someone else posted. I'm completely out of ideas and can't find any other tricks from google.
And troubleshooting this is even more of a nightmare because every time I boot up the game it spends twenty minutes recompiling shaders again! Why! This is the only game that does this!

Do these errors appear even when using different planes? I solved my problem by trying that to confirm I was dealing with a potentially bugged combination of everything on a plane, changed skin, removed emblems, removed it from my favorites list - then it was all fine to fly.

Well, not using any skins or emblems let me get into a match... which then got a brand new error code after the second phase: ST-3100004.
All subsequent attempts after that got the regular ST-3100001 before the intro scene or ST-3100002 immediately after it.

got the same issue here. currently I am at a 4:20 ratio in terms of games attempted vs games played. 4 games actually played/made it to mission, and 20 attempted games in total. I have never seen any game with as horrid a connection as this.
despite online being rather sad in general, i had hoped for a The Crew 2 kinda online mode, where you might be able to choose a faction to fly for, fly over a expansive map, can kill vehicles or aircrafts in various difficulties, or just head to set missions. the crew 2 has aircraft, it proves that such a thing IS possible. but man ace combat 8 online is... a severe letdown.

As far as what it actually is I'm very happy with it; I played Infinity a lot and so far this is Infinity with all the shitty parts shaved off. I just can't seem to actually be able to play it

When somebody else crashes or entirely fails to load into the selection screen, away goes the entire lobby! At least it seems matches with CPU players can happen now, but they are super rare even when one team clearly lacks a player. It needs a patch this coming week.
I've ran more experiments and emblems seem to cause a lot of trouble, whereas the favorite-tag only sometimes on only some planes can break it. Got it running well enough now to wonder why emergency missions suddenly got super rare.

Same issue on both saved loadouts, both of which were working last time I was able to load into a match.
Though... they both use the preorder skins for the F-4E and the F/A-18C that are now available in the store, and were working before they were added to the store. I'll try deleting them and remaking them with no skin next time I'm on.

I dont know if this is the right place to post this as i am playing AC 8 on my PS5 and everytime i am playing a match it would 100% kick me out with an error called ST-3100005 and connection timed out. I never saw anyone else with this problem and i am wondering if there is a way to put a report on errors or a solution maybe.

Well, it's been a week since the game has launched and I still haven't managed to play a single multiplayer round. Still get the godforsaken ST-3100001 and 2 errors on every single match I try to join. I've tried syncing the clock, apparently <0.002 seconds from "time.windows.com" isn't good enough. I've tried loading the damn single player first and then switching to multiplayer. I even tried just flying the bare F-4 with no skins or decals to no avail. Anyone have any other suggestions or am I just stuck waiting until they release a patch?

I don't think so. I've played other games with the same anti-cheat and NEVER had an issue like this before.
Meanwhile I literally cannot play the online because of it.

Some people report just loading a single player mission working, some people report completing a single player mission working. I've only had success by playing at least three single player missions before trying online

Synchronizing time did not fix this. Ive played tons of mp games without issue but now it gives me the connection error every single time i try to load into a mp game.
I'd love if theyd fix this shit before the game dies.

It worked fine for the first day or two I played online, then it suddenly just stopped working completely. I tried everything people have mentioned to work, synchronizing clocks, doing a singleplayer mission before hand, using a default f4 with no customization. None of it has worked. It's insane that it's almost been 2 weeks and they STILL haven't fixed an error affecting a good portion of players

Whenever I've tried to hop on AC online(on PC), it just gives me this loading screen just infinitely loads not sure how to fix this in the slightest, anybody else run into this?
I was able to get into the character creator my first try, but had to close the game out before completing it not sure if that would cause this.

Regarding ST-3100001, if the clock sync doesn’t work for you, try loading a singleplayer mission (even free flight was good enough for me) before hopping back into Online. It seems like the error can also trip if you’re taking too long to load into a match and I guess singleplayer helps reduce the amount of stuff you have to load vs going into Online straight from the main menu

3100001 100% of the time. was able to get into 2 online missions the other day but decided to finish campaign before starting online and now am getting the error.
Time is synced. tried it with both automatic time and manual time.
Played a singleplayer mission first
Firewall has both public and private enabled for both game instances
Tried Starting game as administrator
Turned off all overlays and closed discord entirely
Deleted EAC folder and verified files to redownload it
no fixes i can find online anywhere have worked.

anyone know the fix for st-3100005? keeps happening after 2 or 3 missions solo or when i'm in a squad with a friend. the text box said "connection timed out", but it feels really weird for it to only happen here and not on any other of my online games.

I keep getting error ST-1000024 when attempting to connect online.
I've had the game since Oct 2nd (through Steam) and campaign mode is working great, but I always encounter the ST-1000024 error whenever I attempt to join online, I had been able to create my player avatar but other than that I am unable to access online.
I've tied syncing my clock, deleting anti-cheat and verifying files, none seemed to work.
has anyone experienced the same and found a resolution?

I was looking for it before I got distracted with the other threads, PA made an announcement that they redacted a bunch of temp bans due to connection issues.

If I have my steam status set to anything other than online I get this option. As soon as I change from “invisible” to “online” it allows me to play multiplayer

Are Linux users able to access Ace Combat Online? I'm able to access the store portion of it, but I'd like to know if I can play the Online portion since I purchased the Deluxe edition with the intention of getting the ADFX-01 Morgan.
As an aside, how do I get that Ace Pass that came with the Deluxe edition?

Same thing for me. I can enter the lobby and store just fine, but when I try to enter a match I get booted.
As for the Ace Pass, check your mail in the online menu. Should have your bonuses there, including a ticket for the Ace Pass. Once you have that, go to the Ace Pass and redeem it.

That's rather unfortunate, but that's way further along than I thought we could get. Hopefully the Ace Combat 8 Team will let us penguins fly the skies sooner than later. I'd like to complete the Ace Pass all the way. Where do you think the best place for me to send that request would be at?

I would like to think that the want for money would help out here. The more you extend your potential player base, the more money you'll end up getting. Happy customers are (potentially) paying customers.

Yes, unable to do anything but lobby-roam and play arcade games.
Yes, EAC supports linux and the developer only needs to check a box to make the game ship with that support. Hopefully the content creators have given advisory to Project Aces that included that, we are a growing number after all.
Yes, I spent a several hours making a 250 gig NVME dual-boot solution to get my fix and omg it was worth it. That spare NVME slot will go away when it's time to run an external GPU via Oculink tho.

I missed out on this thread and the master one somehow, eyes have genuinely been getting worse.
ST-3100001 I solved by another method, namely verifying that I could still start a mission with using another plane, and then changing skin/emblem/removing favorite on the troubled plane. Timesynch was no issue.
Pasting the thread here finding out that Favorite on my main plane Gripen breaks it but at least the A-10C is OK:
Situation: You queue up, get accepted, select your fave plane, and on the loading-screen you emerge with nothing but an ST-300001 error. You try again, ST-300001. You change some graphical settings, ST-300001. You put another DNS on, ST-300001. You spend an hour troubleshooting hardware and software alike, ST-300001. Verify the files, change in-game settings, it goes nowhere. (in my case the loading% never went past 0%)
Next step: Select another plane for a mission. That's what I should have tried in the first place, this confirmed the ST-300001 variety that was going on.
The solution: I changed this crash-happy plane of mine in question to another skin, removed the emblems, fave-listed another plane instead, and also changed its position in the line to sit at fifth place. Works absolutely fine afterwards, but I haven't returned to using any emblems or the skin or that position or that fave-marker - which does put it on your profile, maybe there was a conflict there? (Source for solution: some JP-bro on twitter saying "change your mech in the hangar")
Hope this helps someone. If you are on Linux including SteamOS then for now you're simply not going to be able to get past the code complaining about the non-existent EAC support they shipped the game with, so you're destined a lobby-trophy for now.
Went back in there to test more and waste time: Favorite on the Gripen and flying it = guaranteed ST-300001. Favorite on A-10C and flying it = fine.

Worked until something broke on Namco's end earlier in the week and the first attempt to get into a match (after selecting a plane) always resulted in a 300001, today it all went haywire.
The latest finds show differences between Assault and Warfare in reliability and ability to load in.

I’m getting this error on Xbox when trying to play co-op warfare. Assault works fine, scramble works fine. I also can’t play with friends but can play with random people getting a similar error code. I have tried the suggested solutions and nothing works.
These weren’t issues when the game came out for me. I had no issue finding matches. Now it takes numerous attempts to find 1 match. It’s crazy.

Issues have been getting worse and today, Co-Op Assault simply isn't matchmaking. Warfare and emergency missions were no problem and without any crashes at all, I could fly my fully emblemed-skinned-favorited plane slot that usually serves as the guaranteed crash-maker in them.
They've scheduled maintenance for the 13th and I hope that's combined with a patch.

This is so frustrating. I’ve been wanting to play, and at least TRY to use the battlepass. But I can’t! I’ve fixed my clock, reinstalled the game, used all three planes I have access to— nothing works. I genuinely can’t do anything.

As of October 11, 2:00 AM, Linux is still unable to participate in Online matchmaking. I'm hoping that the incoming maintenance update will allow Linux users to play online matches, but chances are supremely slim that might occur considering that their announcement states that Windows 11 is the only OS they'll support.

Having constant ST-3100001 during mission-load ins, and ST-3100002s whenever I DO get in. I did the time sync, through my pc's "Date and Time", as well as through PowerShell. And still getting them. Haven't been able to do a SINGLE match.
