MCU Agent carter is officially connected to MCU and canon
It means it's an important series not just a series its timeline after captain America the first avenger

I would’ve loved at least another season of that show. There was a lot to like I thought.

Every time I rewatch Agent Carter I get so fucking angry at Steve for what he took from her. She had a life without him, a husband and kids and a whole career, and because of Steve she will literally never know about the family he erased

When steve returned to her in avengers endgame she wasn't married I don't remember she got married to anyone else

That’s because he traveled back to before it happened, likely to before she even met Daniel roughly a year after First Avenger. When Steve talked to her in Winter Soldier she straight up told him about her family and the life she had so we know he knew about them and just decided they weren’t important

Have you seen agents of shield season 7? Spoilers, but Sousa isn't important to bring up, as they never happen, due to him dying in the 50's. as for her being married, it's never explained. Depending on what happens in Doomsday, our Peggy is still married to whomever in death. Endgame Peggy is with Steve, until whatever happens in the new movie.
Either steve goes back to the mainline universe to give the shield, or maybe Steve was married to Peggy the entire time, as according to the script steve and peggy were dancing in 1949. It's not confusing either, as the married man has no description besides being 'saved by Steve'. The only question at that point is how much her dementia has effected her, sadly, or how much she lied to Steve.

Daniel’s important to her story and character arc in the show, even if the two don’t stay together and Daniel gets sent to the future for whatever batshit reason in Agents of Shield. Regardless of that, it’s an incredibly shitty thing to do to go back in time and replace someone’s husband and kids with yourself

Uh, He's believed to have died in 1955, and was shown to stay in the west coast. She ended up moving away, going back to New York eventually for work. She just took more vacation time after work. Something may not have worked out between them, most likely due to long distance in the 40's. Yet none of it removes Daniel as being important to Peggy during the show.
As for the husband and kids, it could be Steve all along or, what it seems, be a new timeline. Neither changes her being married with kids to the mystery man of the future. Steve didn't remove them in either mainline universe. Also, why do you care so much? Steve just went back to peggy in 1949, where she decided to dance, kiss, and possibly marry him by her own choice.

I care so much because we had a whole show dedicated to Peggy moving on from Steve’s death and relearning to live her life and Endgame just completely downgrades her to a voiceless love interest, not to mention it literally being confirmed Doomsday is happening because Steve decided to fuck with the timeline

He didn't erase her family. It was always him. We see photos of her kids by her dresser, but no husband. We see her office desk in the seventies? Who's photo is on her desk? You'd think it'd be her husband. It's Steve. She said her husband was rescued by Steve. Steve never rescued Daniel, and he would have died in the 50s anyway.
This is a better ending for everyone. Peggy gets the man of her dreams. Sousa doesn't have to live in the shadow of Steve. Daisy and Sousa get a partner who matches eachothers energy and compliments eachother's needs. And Steve gets to be with the woman who saw the value in the scrawny guy from Brooklyn.
Besides. With the way the multiverse works, even if he did butt in ahead of some unknown future husband, there's also a version of history where he didn't. The multiverse let's everyone eat their cake.

I never said Daniel was the husband and besides, you’d think Peggy would know her own fuckin husband is Steve

Would this be old Peggy who has dementia or old Peggy who knows she can't tell young Steve what his relative future holds?

Yes Steve must obviously be her husband because he remained hidden from the entire world for like 90 fucking years after famously being in a ton of war propaganda movies, having a museum in his honor, and famously fighting the Nazis and crashing into the sea. Naturally he’s been in the past and married to her this whole time

The guy managed to stay off the grid in the digital for two years, avoiding capture by the most thoroughly surveilanced populace the world has ever known. Yeah, he did. He'd be fine.

I’m no expert but I’m fairly certain 90 years is a lot longer than two years. There’s a real big difference here from being on the run with no attachments for two years versus staying in hiding for nine decades while you’re actively married and somehow managing to father two kids in that time

Yeah, but it's also a lot easier when:
A. Nobody is looking for you given you're presumed dead. The phrase "yeah, I get that a lot" does a fair bit of heavy lifting when people say, "hey, you look like that dead guy". B. You have one of the top intelligence agents on the planet covering for you and providing you with a fake identity.
Also, at some point he fought Red Guardian, so he must've been there.

Steve: "So, what's my new identity?"
Peggy: "Your new name is 'Roger Stevens.'"
Steve: "..."1

One of the first MCU series I watched - back when they were actually good and interesting to watch. Jessica Jones and Daredevil too.

Finally 🥹
All that effort into watching it when clearing the MCU paid off
But AoS tho (dropped after s3 midseason finale) 💔🥀

u/SmoothTalkingSpud 5d ago
If you dropped AoS before finishing it then you haven't finished Agent Carter. Season 7 wraps up both series.
1
u/MasterCrep 4d ago
Wait AoS actually picks up the Mike storyline??? (Or maybe just some SHIELD shit ig)
1
u/SmoothTalkingSpud 4d ago
No, I'm afraid that is never touched on to my recollection, but Agent Carter ends with Peggy and Souza hooking up while Endgame ends with Peggy and Steve hooking up. AoS season 7 resolves that inconsistency in a pretty thourough and significant way.

Soo it’s connected to MCU and Agents of SHIELD is not
Therefore these shows aren’t connected to eachother, got it
1
u/SmoothTalkingSpud 5d ago
Nope. They're just both connected to the MCU. Always have been.
Agent Carter crosses over with AoS plots a few times and it's ending needs AoS in order to make it compatible with Endgame. Endgame incorporated Edwin Jarvis, canonising Agent Carter. Agents of SHIELD has been referenced directly as late as Captain Marvel and indirectly in Multiverse of Madness (Inhumans tie-in).

You need more evidence after Endgame featured James D’Arcy’s Jarvis…?
Cause the Agatha/Eternals What It episode also featured him and fitted pretty nicely with Agent Carter Season 2, as Howard was still trying to become a filmmaker
Even the evil flamingo came back in What If

That show was so great. I've been a fan of Hayley since the Jim Caveziel Prisoner miniseries, and man, she owned Peggy Carter from the jump. I hope she gets another appearance, maybe a Cap flashback, and doesn't get her MCU swan song left as the underwhelming scenes in Multiverse of Madness.
