u/JD_Kreeper Aug 09 '26
"aura"
looks inside
an inconsiderate asshole.

Funny how the masculine ideal always aligns with what the ruling class wants from men. Surely this is women's fault somehow. Definitely not the fault of those advertising to men telling them lacking empathy is the most cool anti-cringe thing possible.

Patriarchy is a miserable system
2
u/SquidTheRidiculous Aug 09 '26
Tell your friends who see the system and think it still puts them at the top somehow.
1
u/Same_Comment4702 Aug 09 '26
I would use the word "punctuality" rather than "empathy" in this scenario since the ai slop shows that the man to the right doesn’t value his date’s time
1
u/Alphasaft Aug 09 '26
It's also empathy because it can be stressing/unnerving/infuriating to wait on a date for someone that doesn't come. So the slop is just him telling you "I don't care because that makes me look cool", which is basically a lack of empathy

15 minutes late and the entitlement? 🚩🚩🚩

u/awstream Aug 09 '26
These "alpha male" traits/aura will be seen by anyone normal as being an asshole. It only appeals to their fellow "alpha male", they definitely should date each other and leave the rest of the world alone.

15 mins late means they don't respect your time as a person. Doesn't matter their gender, I don't want to be around people that don't respect my time.
9
u/Apathetic_Villainess Aug 09 '26
That's the point. It's meant to show the woman he doesn't respect her or her time. It's supposed to be a way of establishing his dominance over her. Nobody seems to hate women more than straight men.
4
u/MyPussyMeowsAtMe Aug 09 '26
And I would bet some good dollars that if the woman was 15 minutes late, these alpha dudes would be throwing an absolute tantrum about it.

u/Ashura_98 Aug 09 '26

If they are both late then they are just on time
4
u/Dirkdeking Aug 09 '26
It's pretty normal at least on breeze for dates to come late I have noticed. Not by that much, 5 to 10 minutes. Now I noticed that I also care less about being punctual.
And it also depends on distance travelled. If you need to go to a different city by rain you tend to come early like the first guy because you plan for eventualities(like the train not working). If it is cycling distance then you leave a lot later and can come a bit too late due to optimism.
36
u/AbortionHoagie Aug 09 '26
Where is the guy that arrives 3 minutes early and doesn't even bother with a text message, but rather sneaks up behind her with two drinks in hand?! Kids these days are simply tactless, skill issues all around

Simp means they actually like and respect the woman. And that's a horror to the alpha males who need women to believe their only value is determined by their fuckability, which the alphas should be in charge of.

Funny thing is that the Aura guys is what appeals to other guys. Simps are what women in general are appealed by (Assuming they have good hygiene and are genuinely kind.)

u/Imaginary-Pin580 Aug 09 '26
Being late is never nice. Be on time for things… everyone like punctuality

u/Suhva Aug 09 '26
And if you're running late, let your date know that you're on your way and looking forward to it.

Not defending the OP but sometimes shit happens.
Like, not all of us are neurotypical and can function like one.
1
u/Apathetic_Villainess Aug 09 '26
Neurospicy women don't get as much allowance as neurospicy men. They learn how to work around it. Multiple alarms and reminders, setting the clocks ahead of the correct time, etc.

yes because the simp is a man that you can dominate. The aura guy is an asshole, sure.
But what about a real man in between? A man who is respectful and courteous but who also has confidence and self reapect. That isn't popular because the aura archetype you can hate on and the simp archetype you can make fun of.

Being late because of a legit reason is one thing, being late thinking I’m desperate is another.

This post was basically your average red pill toxic masculinity agenda. OOP was encouraging men to be the guy with aura instead of the simp

As a guy, i show up 15 minutes early. That's called respect. If she's 15 minutes late without a message tho? I'm gone.
2
u/The_Book-JDP Aug 09 '26
If you arrive 15 minutes late know that I’ve already ordered, eaten, paid the check, and left. Before leaving though, I would slip my waitress/waiter and the manager or owner a $50 to flip you off when your dumbass arrives. “This is from the woman you left waiting. She’s gone by the way but paid me to give you this 🖕. Do have the evening you deserve.” Then they walk away.

I hate it when people are late because they dont care to be on time. (Not talking about genuine delays or it happening rarely)
2
u/Relevant-Bicycle-851 Aug 09 '26
And then the “aura” guy posts on truth social that women are too self centered and don’t want to date him
2
u/WendlersEditor Aug 09 '26
Aura farming by showing up late everywhere, not paying my bills (more money to invest 🧠), and not brushing my teeth (the natural oils in your gums repair cavities, and that's just how they're supposed to smell).
2
2
u/TheSkeletalNerd Aug 09 '26
Only issue I have with the simp is that he asks if she’s still coming after showing up early. Letting them know you’re early is fine, but the follow up makes it seem like you’re rushing.
2
u/LegitimateGift1792 Aug 09 '26
Who the fuck orders a bottle of wine and an appetizer for themselves 15 mins before the date is supposed to start? Date is half over when the other person arrives on time.

Left seems clingy and desperate, right seems a little uninterested and disrespectful.
I'd prefer something in between the two: Arrives between 5 mins early and 5 mins late with an "I'm here :)"
Relaxed/low pressure, but a little excited, and respectful.

i’m always early and my gf is always late, she has negative aura for this. walking into the movies after they already start and all, showing up late to events, who in their right mind believes being late is aura
1
u/Apathetic_Villainess Aug 09 '26
To be fair, as a US citizen, being late to the movies means having to watch fewer ads than everyone else.

i abhor that this is a factor in dating, of all things...
but what we're seeing represented here is a negotiation tactic.
well, that is to say, sometimes it's a tactic, but other times people just kind of do it without realizing it:
people interpret it as 'confidence' when you act like something is not important to you.
like, if you go to a car dealership having another option in your back pocket that you'll follow through on if these people jerk you around, it subconsciously changes your mannerisms. people--especially people in SALES--intuitively recognize that you're someone who will just walk away if THEY don't work to earn YOUR interest.
it's kind of ironic. and also just really fucking sucks, that it's easier--for instance--for you to ace an interview and get a job offer if you already have a job and DON'T presently need to get hired as soon as possible.
... i guess another way to put it is nonchalance?
but mindfully choosing on-purpose to treat an interpersonal emotional bond as if it's a business negotiation is FUCKING GROSS. RELATIONSHIPS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE TRANSACTIONAL!!
i'm sure there are quite a few people who DON'T get the job when they have a job interview, get called back in and find out it's not a job offer but a second round of interviews, then get called AGAIN for a third round of interviews, only to tell the recruiter, "yeah.... nah. hard pass. you people are wasting my time at this point. you're welcome to call me when you've made up your minds" ... but most of the people i know who did get hired had done exactly that. because it fucking ... tweaks the brains of a recruiter. they think they have all the cards and all the power, and they see someone who they thought was in the palm of their hand like their little plaything slipping away, then something snaps inside them. suddenly the fact that they might "LOSE" in some nebulous way reframes the whole situation that they should be the ones desperate. A recruiter desperate to hire, rather than an applicant desperate to Be Hired.
the last several happy relationships i've been in also only started when i had decided i'm not interested in seeking a relationship x.x; and the two before my current one, i'm still on good terms with them and we still talk on the regular. they became really good friends to me and i became their wing-<creature>.
(even if a relationship doesn't last it doesn't have to be a bad experience, y'know? i'm glad to have dated them for a bit!)
and it wasn't because i was showing up fifteen minutes late for a date. it was more like ... because i was communicating without expectations, without any unrequited emotions, without pleading or yearning or anything like that, there was no interference between us.
But the point is, when people do this on purpose, when they CHOOSE to act in a way that they intend to actually seem DISMISSIVE, and they furthermore make that choice with a motive in mind, that is manipulation, and it's disgusting.

Do you want a bf whose entire life is you? Maybe the late guy was at the gym, finishing a book, getting a great hair cut, moving his nice car for street cleaning.
A bf whose entire life is you has nothing to share with you, in terms of his life and lifetsyle.
1
u/TheVeiledRuby Aug 09 '26
That’s not the point. What’s important is being 15 minutes late to a date is rude. You’re not respecting the other persons time if you willingly chose to be 15 minutes late. It would be understandable if he texted his date saying he was in traffic or something. When you’re about to go on a date, now’s not the time to engage in your hobbies or chores
