could they beat a game with 2 years of dev to market in an hour?

If an ai in its current state can build your game in 2 hours just from screen shot, it’s either very simple so yeah they could, or they dumped hundreds of agents, which would be lots of money they could hire people to do it anyway

so why didn’t they do it before AI.

they did, this is getting more publicity because its ai. asset flips have been around for awhile. You just find similar assets, a freely available game template, go on stack overflow and figure out to put them together. Thats something someone with minimal knowledge could do. Then you have established developers that have assets just sitting around and systems you can just repurpose I haven't looked at this game indepth, but an incremental game puching a wall isn't that complex.

can’t asset flip a game that isn’t out. This isn’t just about this game. Currently it’s limited to beating slop games to market. That’s going to change eventually.

If you can see a video you can, how do you think an ai does it. It creates the same assets and similar systems based on available knowledge. Ai just automates that process, there are tones of unique and easily accessible assets out there that just need to be minorly adjusted to fit a simple game like the incremental punch game. Don’t assume to asset flip you need to extract from the game your copying, I can find anything similar for free or cheap in an asset store

and that takes time so you won’t beat the original to market.

you acting like someone would need to follwo the exact same process, some people are better at things then others, and some games are BASIC and easy to copy. I can go build a ferarri clone if I can find all the parts and put it together quicker then ferrai did to design it, even if they aren't all the same parts. Either way you don't seem to comprhend this , so you likely just trying to blame ai blindly not understanding anything about game development or really anything so I'm done.
