We built Clarity, an AI that gives you a second opinion before you reply to a text. To be upfront: it's a large language model, not a person and not a therapist. It's a second look before you hit send, not something that thinks for you.
What it does:
- One box takes pasted messages, a screenshot, or a description of what happened.
- It separates what it actually knows from what it's guessing ("What I know / Still unknown"), so it doesn't invent facts you never gave it.
- It gives a call (send, wait, or talk in person) with timing.
- If a reply makes sense, it drafts one you can edit, with "Shorter" / "More casual" buttons. Paste 2–3 of your own messages and it matches your tone.
- For screenshots it reads the chat back first ("Is the right-hand side you?") so you can fix who said what.
- It replies in whatever language you write in.
Privacy: it doesn't keep what you type or the answers. Screenshots are held in memory just long enough to read, then discarded. Text and images go to Google's Gemini (via Vertex AI) to generate the answer, so crop out names and photos first. The only things kept are a usage counter and notes you choose to save.
Honest limits:
- Not therapy, diagnosis, or legal advice. Adults 18+.
- Not for emergencies. If safety is involved, it shows crisis resources instead of texting advice.
- Free to try: 3 topics a day, no signup.
What we'd love feedback on:
Did the send/wait call feel right, or did it overreach?
Screenshots: did it get who-said-what right?
Would you come back to it, or is it a one-time thing?
