Question Yale lock

Trying to connect Yale lock via Matter. No matter what I try cannot add the device in Alexa , continue to get device not found. Tried scanning QR and entering code. Any help here? Not sure if device is going into discover mode, when I press the gear button nothing happens. Both devices are on same account and wi/fi network

tried setting mine up last month and it was a pain, the gear button on mine needed a proper firm press for like 5 seconds before it actually kicked into discover mode, not just a quick tap

also make sure your echo is the matter controller and not just acting as a thread border router, that tripped me up for ages
