Limited mobile service alert

I’ve not had maps alert me that there’s limited mobile phone service at a destination, has anyone else had this?

I once saw this when i used transit directions because the metro station had poor reception

This was on driving directions, not seen it on transit directions yet.

How are they determining whether the destination has limited service I wonder. Something to do with the crowdsourced carrier service disruption they’re testing?

mobile coverage - coverage checker in the uk by Ofcom, so I presume they go by this or similar websites for that country/region 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I saw this looking up places in East Tennessee. That’s a good hint for people who ain’t from the area since some areas have nada
