Political Question Are Republicans inherently selfish?

Not referring to every individual obviously but as a whole, compared to democrats/independents they seem to really only care about themselves or their immediate family and pretty much have a “f**k em” attitude towards literally everyone else. Does anyone else feel this way?

This would explain why so many are against social policies but have no issue dumping much more money into the military instead, for example.

Conservatives give the most to charity and also give more frequently. I’m saying that as a non-conservative

This has been repeatedly debunked

No. You take 5 seconds and Google it. I'm not gonna hold your hand, and you didn't post a source to begin with.

Why so emotional? Burden of proof is on you from the outset.

You didn't even read half the stuff you posted lol. They support my point. I was gonna post two of them. One of which is above.

"Who Really Cares" has been debunked endlessly over the past 20 years. The work i cited (and you cited for some reason, not having read or comprehended it) prove that there is no clear advantage between liberals and conservatives in terms of overall charitable giving. It's just that conservatives give more to religious institutions, which is not even necessarily a form of charity.

I mean thanks for making my point for me, I suppose. 😂

You are making a massive assumption and you are wrong here. Church organizations, fundraisers and charities make up a vast majority of the soup kitchens, food banks, clothing closets, and resource centers in my metro area and I live in a very liberal city. It’s also true that they provide that overwhelming amount of communities throughout the country. The fact that you discredit how much religious organizations put into helping the poor and houseless shows your ignorance and bias. By the way, this is coming from an Atheist because you try to discredit me by attack my “religion”
