Would this career match my interests? What types of questions do data scientists answer
Right now, I'm getting my BS in psychology. I really like psychology and one of my roommates is an AI Researcher, I enjoy talking to him, thinking critically, and, the idea of possibly working in a research-related field one day. However, there are very few jobs in psychology research, and most don't pay well. I also don't want to get a Doctorate in Psychology because I don't think it's worth the commitment. I was thinking of getting a master's in experimental psychology and working as a research assistant to pay it off. However, the job opportunities would be crappy. Right now, I work as a pharmacy technician and have no intention of going to pharmacy school. 200k in debt, and a 4 year program are you serious?
Well, I took a career test at school, and my top matches were for Statistics and Data Science. I know how important it is to be happy with the money you're making. The most I've made was 50k and it wasn't enough. I want to hopefully make 100k or more eventually. And, I would like my career to be answering research-questions and designing new things.
However, I wonder what types of problems do Data Scientists normally work on? I know it is domain specific. However, what are examples of some types of problems?
