Hail Satan! (the goodie in the Bible for telling Adam and Eve the truth)

The Bible doesn't really say the snake is Satan. Even in Revelation it just says he's "an ancient serpent", no indication that it's this serpent in particular.

You're right. But Christian lore doesn't, and that's good enough for the setup to this punchline.

Besides, Christians interpret the Bible however they see fit... So, who are we to not use their interpretation to make fun of them?

Since genesis was written in babylon, it probably refers to some babylonian mythological figure.

It most likely refers to a myth (I don't remember if it's a Babylonian myth or not) that says humans came from snakes. In older semitic languages, "Eve" means "female snake"

Older semitic legends didn't have eve, they had lilith who is a "mother of monsters" type figure. It could refer to her. Maybe they split Adam's counterpart to reunite both aspects with the apple scene.

Look into Gnosticism. Yahweh is basically a malevolent, evil, ignorant lower entity who trapped humanity and wants them to basically be his slaves. Jesus is not Yahweh's son, according to that branch of Christianity.

It's lowkey a weird, funny rabbit hole

I love Gnosticism

Yeah, it's arguably Christianity's coolest (And, in a mindset way, most correct) branch.

There is a reason why it's considered heretical in the religion

If the Satanic Church wasn’t a thing, it would be the first option I’d choose if I had to pick a religion
