Im islander but these rugby fans are genuinely so obnoxious like first off its late at night in a random street go to the club or something and secondly if you want to go around being loud with your music at least let it be good like why are you playing random spammed cartoon sounds bc theres no way you genuinely listen to this unironically. I feel like an idiot complaining as a tongan and ik i should be used to it but the music is so ass i cant take it anymore oh my gosh
I think i just need sleep

On 9 January 2026, Sid was taken from us and dumped by our neighbour. We haven’t seen him since.
He had his GPS collar removed and dumped at the end of our street.
Sid was allegedly driven to ARC North Vet Hospital that morning, then dumped after at Weza Lane, Kumeū.
We fear the worst, but we won’t give up on him.
💰 $2,000 REWARD for information leading to Sid’s safe return.
Please, if you know anything, speak up. And if you don’t, please share. Thank you everyone who has shared potential sightings or sent posts of cats that might be Sid.
Sid is so loved, so missed, and deserves so much better than this. 💔

This is in Māngere East. Doesn’t even capture the bass shaking my walls.

4 songs in, apparent technical issues, no songs since. Total fizzer? Guess we’ll wait and see……

Anyone else think she was a bit trollied? Honestly a bit of an odd one. Reminded me a bit of the Primal Scream concert.

Come on give us the tea. How’d you do it? Did they catch you? Did you get in trouble.
The cat and mouse chase kept us entertained during the tech issues.

I keep seeing so many drivers flying Tongan and Samoan flags from their cars. It’s ridiculously stupid and dangerous. I literally saw multiple cars with flags and poles sticking out on the highway. I bet it won’t be banned until someone gets impaled by one while driving on the highway.
Edit
Love the people screaming “racism” or calling me a killjoy because “it’s just a piece of fabric.” You forget that these large flags are often being held up by metal or wooden poles, and at 100 km/h, they’re pretty dangerous if they come loose, especially when they’re being held by someone or secured with tape... There are ways to celebrate safely with smaller flags or without sticking massive ones to cars.

Genuine question. Missed out on tickets at every opportunity online so my next best idea is to sit outside. Is this possible lol

Hey team, looking for a recommendation on cleaners in the central Auckland area? Keen to find someone self run so the business means something instead of a cold google.
TIA for your shout outs

Bear with me, kind of silly, just have to share this.
Last night after dropping my coworker off after work, around 23:00, a car was following me really closely on Symonds Street. I didn’t see it was a police car until later due to the lighting.
I thought the speed for the whole street was 30km/h, so I was doing that and they were less than a meter behind me. Then the police drove into the bus lane and began going 50-60km/hr. But all the lights were turning red so they didn’t gain any time on me. This continued for more than 200m.
We pull up to a red light and I roll down my window. I asked if it was 30km/h and the policeman said yes. I was so confused. Are they allowed to do this? They didn’t have any lights on or seem to be in a rush, just cruising and patrolling. Before I realised they were police I was going to cuss them out lol.

Reading Liam Dann's interview with him this morning, he presents himself as someone out of a Jeffery Archer novel. Aside from vanity, why is he on such a PR rampage at the moment, and aside from his wealth which is well documented, are other parts of his backstory legit with his claims about being a commander in the SAS and various things? It sounds a bit far-fetched or amplified.

I just want to get your guys opinion on this before I also consult a lawyer on monday.
On the 29th of July on my way home from uni, i received a fine notice on my windshield for a expired rego in the park-and-ride carpark. Immediately, the next day, I paid the fine and renewed my rego expecting it to be a one-time occurance.
However, six to seven weeks later, I get a letter in the mail of a reminder notice for the same expired rego issue. I rung them up only for them to tell me it was a new fine for another day that I had not previously known about. I tried to dispute it however AT rejected my claim stating that they can serve notice anyhow and it does not need to appear on my windshield. Currently, my options are take them to court or pay the fine.
I don’t know how strong my argument is since i’m arguing on a fair grounds basis where if i had previously known or been informed of that fine the issue would have been corrected avoiding me the other fine.
I feel as if i have a weak argument. Thoughts?

We have a couple of large arum lillies and a bunch of agapanthus in our garden that I want to get rid of. We have two small kids so finding the bandwidth to do it ourselves is hard. Wondering if anyone has paid an outfit to come in and do it for you and if so, whether you could share approx costs?

Just looking for information on how normal it is to have employed council workers running 5 to 15 limited companies sign off on consents where their own listed companies could be used. Is it just me or is this clearly a conflict of interest?

Just trying my luck - is anyone going to the Titanic exhibition in the next few weeks that would mind picking me up something from the gift shop and I could sort out retrieving from you? I have no interest in going myself - although have heard good things - but know someone who went and regretted not making a purchase at the time and would love to remedy this for them for Christmas.
Thanks, and enjoy the Auckland sunshine today!
