vent I feel really lonely and simultaneously hate humans for how they treat other animals and can't bear talking with them. How to cope?
Basically what's in the title. I can't cope how much damage and harm we cause and seeing what we do to our friend shaped peers, then fight some stupid 'Lions though' lvl arguement. It's so frustrating seing how bad and destructive animal 'argi'culture is... how plane obvious it is that animal mass slaughter for pleasure is wrong and how most people I know still happily finance it. With a grin on their face and a corps in their belly. How in hell am I supposed not to scream at them. I want to see them suffer just as much as they made animals suffer for their supper. Just for a tiiny bit so they'll never do that to an animal again. Or u know... pay someone to torture animals for their pleasure in taste. I feel depressed and alone. How am I supposed to deal with this shit, fucked up humanity? How am I supposed to be happy when I see the aftermath of animal abuse daily and can't disassociate like everyone else does so mindlessly?

Early-Bag already gave great advice to cope with this. If you do have non-vegan friends, what helped me is to establish my boundaries very clearly. If I visit a non-vegan friend or they visit me, we shall consume only plant-based meals together.
If it's non-vegan family members, it might be significantly more difficult to deal with that due to how much certain family members love to push your boundaries, but I've reached a point where I got my mum to visit me for up to 2 weeks and not consume one product of animal origin at my place, whereas a few years ago I would've allowed it because I was too much of a people pleaser. That's because I just learned to say 'no' firmly and not justify my own boundaries to others cuz I want to avoid additional stress.
Having strong boundaries is VERY important, especially as an autistic person, since people tend to not take us seriously almost by default. Also, working on letting anger towards injustice out helps a lot. Fully unblocking my anger has been very beneficial for my mental health. Standing up for yourself and for your own boundaries is therapeutic.

Being an autistic extrovert vegan must be so hard. I've often heard advice that trying to convert them to vegans can be a good way to deal with it.
I'm lucky enough to be an introvert so I never feel lonely. πππ

I'm way more introvert than extrovert, but I do need human interaction/contact once in a while...

The world is a very fucked up place. Donβt let it steal your peace and joy.

I get you. It's really hard. Luckily, I managed to surround myself with other vegans for the most important parts (my partner plus my best friend are vegan). With pretty mich everyone else, it is really difficult indeed. It really is like you say, I have to mentally stop myself from thinking about it and sort of like purposefully engage in cognitive dissonance in order to be able to interact with vegetarians and meat-eater on a respectful, friendly base. Which sucks, I wish I didn't have to do that but the only other option would be to cut contact with my entire family and majority of my friends (and I already don't have many). The only advice I can give is to seek out vegan friends. It at least kind of equals out being surrounded by omnis all the time if you have someone who gets the struggle.
