“The four sexual assault charges involved four victims ranging in age from approximately 18 months to 14 years old at the time of the offences between 1998 and 2017.”
This person should be sentenced to lifetime imprisonment.

I wish they would share how he gained access to the children. I'm a vigilant parent and aware that most CSA happens by someone known to the family- Was he a coach? A tutor? Did he snatch them off the street?
Terrifying that these people just walk among us.

WTH kind of a shit show are we stuck with for a so called justice system? This POS pled guilty to the charges, then gets NOT put on dangerous offenders list?? I hope to hell he ends up enduring prison justice! What a complete heartless POS that judge was!

8 years, and anonymity for him. meanwhile the children he assaulted have to deal with that their whole lives. Should be 3x that

He's not anonymous. His name and age are listed ib the article. I do agree the sentence is low for the crimes though.

Seems he’s been behind bars for almost 5 years already based on the article, so his sentence was actually 13 years with time served

What I meant was that he doesn't have to register as a sex offender - and therefore could easily change his name and do it all again

He absolutely has to register as a sex offender, and it would be for life under these circumstances. This is mandated by statute and is not within the judge's discretion.
Where did you get the idea that he did not?

"Under Canadian law, a dangerous offender designation is reserved for offenders whose conduct demonstrates a serious risk of future violent or sexual offending, and can result in an indeterminate prison sentence with no fixed release date.
A long-term offender designation, by contrast, applies when an offender poses a substantial risk of reoffending, but the risk can be managed through community supervision and specific conditions."

Not directed at you entarian, it’s worth noting to folks who didn’t read the article that he was extradited back to Canada to face charges here, after being charged with raping a seven year old in Oklahoma, and has been diagnosed with a pedophilic disorder.

Who determines if someone is liable to reoffend, or come out prison as Mary Magdalen? Anyone assaulting a baby, isn't likely to do it again if given the chance? His defence lawyer deserves every kind of cancer known to mankind!

Prison isn’t like the movies, he is housed with others charged with the same offences. This guy has been in jail more than he has been out since he was a teen, he is quite comfortable in jail. That’s the unfortunate truth
