Іншае / Other Terespol/Brest border check
I’m traveling to Minsk via the Terespol/Brest land border with italian passaport in december. Since our EU bank cards won't work in Belarus, I need to bring enough cash for 7-night stay arount 800-850.
I know there are EU sanctions on exporting Euro banknotes to Belarus. How strict are the Polish border guards about this right now? Will they give me trouble or confiscate my budget if I show up with Euros? Am I better off converting everything into US Dollars before the trip to cross safely?

Don't overthink it. Everything is fine. You can bring up to $10K; they won't count it. I just got back from Minsk. My card didn't work, so I brought cash as well in USD. Belarusian customs officers are friendlier than those in Poland or Lithuania. Go and enjoy Minsk!

Restrictions on export of Euros are not imposed by Belarusian customs officers, whether they are friendly or not.

Technically the euro banknotes are still under export sanctions regardless where you cross the border, but polish customs just never/rarely check. I'd still advise to bring USD, why risk it even if it's 0.1% chance.
