It's one of my favourite Ben Folds Five releases and so I was shocked to see it was just. Gone?

I can't even find a reupload anywhere - I understand it being a little low quality and as a result not being something they'd keep out there...? But it's a shame! Has anyone picked up the 30th anniversary of BF5 s/t vinyl? I just received mine and the record plays slightly fast. I have calibrated my turntable and checked the flutter and wow. Anyone else?

I preordered it from a local shop here, and they still haven’t received their stock. They told me they’ve ordered it but don’t know when it will arrive.

I’ve looked online, and other shops seem to be in a similar situation. One is saying they’ll receive it on September 25th.

Any ideas about what’s happening?

Sometime in the late 90s I saw a Darren Jesse solo show at CB's Gallery, a venue I myself would play many, many times. Next to the legendary CBGB's, but an acoustic cafe vibe. It was a small crowd and it seemed a bit under-publicized, and as a massive Ben Folds Five fan I was really blown away I could see this musician in one of my favorite bands in such a small, intimate setting. As you can see from the photo, it was very easy to go up and meet him too.

He performed on solo acoustic guitar and, truthfully, something that surprised me was they were all mellow, slow, low-key ballads, and very, very serious. I remember expecting more wackiness from the guy who wrote the lyrics to Song For The Dumped. Did he play Magic? Possibly, but I don't remember. I think he did. I distinctly remember he played this song "Norina" (which I thought was "No, Rina") because around that time I had a crush or had just gotten over a crush on a girl named Irina, so the song stuck in my memory even up till today.

He had a really nice singing voice and the songs were all lovely, though I remember hoping for some more energetic material mixed in. Some or all of these songs are on solo albums he put out.

I could have sworn I took photos during the show but can't find them now.
