Big brother needs to get him out of there immediately. I hope one day he’s genuinely ashamed of his actions.
I honestly can’t believe it I’m so far far gone.
If this is what he does on tv I’m sure I’ll be watching a documentary about him in the future.

Not a single man has called Omar out on his behaviour.

Omar & Lynx are the embodiment of everything wrong with men in society. Omar proceeds to emotionally abuse /manipulate Rihanna for the last segment of the show. He even gets in her face in the bedroom after things have calmed down. Catrin relays this information to Lynx and how bad the situation is. His response to this is to victim blame and say "this is why I don't get involved with these things". Thanks ITV for another unbearable watch. Also was horrible to watch Twinx crying in the bed and nobody come to comfort her apart from Harry (who revealed himself to be a gossiping snake this episode too)

OPINION If Omar isn't outed within the house as an abuser and manipulator in the next few episodes, I can't watch this show

Omar:

- Fully invalidates Rhianna's feelings "Your feelings aren't fact"

- Attempts to stop Rhianna from talking to anyone in the house about him

- Does this in front of people as an intimidation tactic

- Immediately speaks to other housemates to push his narrative, making people trust Rhianna less

- Isolates Rhianna and claims she is emotionally immature

- Controls her, and will continue to control her in exactly the way Twinks described

- Makes Rhianna doubt her own judgment

- Constantly denies, denies, and denies any wrongdoing

- Manipulates Rhianna's obvious physical attraction towards him and uses PDA to make housemates think their relationship is healthier than it is

- Doesn't ask for consent before touching, hugging or kissing her

Absolutely vile behaviour. Should be removed from the show and hopefully gain such a bad reputation that he can never have another relationship again.

Big Brother NEED to talk to Omar

I know Rihanna is the victim in all of this, but BB NEED to talk to Omar about his actions and thoughts. Even to act like a counsellor or smth. Omar very clearly has some mixed feelings about being with Rhi. Us, the viewers, would love to know what he's thinking and feeling rn so they need to get him in the diary room and investigate. Maybe if he can be open to BB he can realise what he's actually feeling and why he's feeling that way and process it instead of taking it out on Rhi.

How he's acted lately is appalling, but he needs to be told and taught that it's not alright to act that way instead of BB sweeping it under the rug. It could be a really good way to show men how to deal with their emotions if they manage it alright. Cause in the same way I feel empathy for Rhi I do genuinely also feel bad for Omar. Yes he's 21 but that's still very young and naive in the grand scheme of things. He can make a change for the better, I'm sure. He just needs help.

Does safeguarding not exist anymore?

• Upvotes

I know this is being discussed on here a lot but SERIOUSLY. This is not a storyline on a soap opera to raise awareness for abuse. These are real people and we’re supposed to watch it for entertainment. I know Big Brother has always been about real conversations being had and that at times is uncomfortable, but this is different!

As someone who experienced a lengthy DV relationship, I am finding it hard. Omar parallels a lot of what my abuser said and did. It begun with telling me to put more clothes on, calling me stupid, making me desperately justify why I used certain words (like when Rhianna said ā€œobviouslyā€ and he took great offence at that). It moved to looming over me in public places and whispering in my ear, like what Omar did in the bedroom. It ended with him strangling me until I passed out.

And just like the housemates, my friends got exasperated and left me to my own devices. I obviously wanted it otherwise why would I go back? It can’t be as bad as I claim it is because why am I cuddling up to him? He can’t be in the wrong if I’m the one saying sorry. They didn’t intervene. They didn’t do anything. I was the one judged, not him.

If the ITV producers are keeping him in to raise awareness, I think enough has been raised and the safeguarding team (though this season makes me think they don’t have one), needs to step up.

Gaslighter. Shitstirer. Gives nothing but nastiness behind peoples back. Can’t even let Omar be sad over a cat

Well this has taken a dark turn

So the first few weeks were fun with the whole Joanne vs Rochelle, jedward, etc. but now it’s gone from entertaining drama to actually feeling a bit dark? The bullying towards twinks, Omar’s behaviour towards Rhianna, and Rhianna being so insecure that she feels like she needs to join in with the bullying and won’t step away from Omar as any slightly positive attention he gives her is validating.

I think production need to step in and address some things before shit really gets out of hand otherwise bb is gonna go to a place where they can’t turn back.

OPINION I NEED Omar out of that house

Post image
135 Upvotes

The way Omar is constantly dismissing Rihanna and making her feel small is disgusting.

"You're feelings aren't facts" he says but a relationship is literally ALL ABOUT your feelings for/around each other.

He was calling his girlfriend "bro" and "my guy" during a serious conversation about Rihanna's concerns with the relationship and he has the nerve to call HER immature.

I hated the way he got in her face saying to not talk about him to anyone yet HE'S ALLOWED to talk about her in a negative way to others in the kitchen behind her back and continues to do so even after she enters the kitchen.

I'm so sick of him.

Twinks and Catrin can see the red flags from a mile away and even point this out to Rihanna.

Lynx was really annoying me tonight as well. The way he just nods and smiles when Omar talks nonsense about Rihanna and the relationship. Lynx even said to Catrin (somewhere along the lines of) "If the situation is that bad, why are you still in it?" He hasn't a clue about toxic/abusive relationships.

Rihanna ALWAYS ends up being the one that's forced to apologise even though she's not in the wrong. I feel so disgusted (almost) every time Omar opens his mouth. He even said that something like, there were plenty of options out there for him, after Rihanna "broke up" with him. Disgusting. He doesn't care for her at all. He just wants something to control.

Culture of abuse in the house

• Upvotes

I think the problem with this house is that when people bullied Rob (calling him simple, picking on him in groups, saying they would make him cry) nobody called it out.

Likewise, allowing Twinks to be called a c*nt, twat, witch etc, her relationship type was slagged off, nobody but Yasmin has called it out.

While these are not specifically abuse, bullying aims to isolate and belittle a person, the same way an intimate abuser does.

Now, Omarā€˜s behaviour last night (and before that too) has been vile, but the house has accepted his behaviour before. They’ve made excuses for him etc. But how, for example, can Philip, Rochelle, Lynx etc. tell Rihanna to leave a man who is displaying the same behaviour (name calling, isolation, physical intimidation) that they have displayed?

They have created a culture inside the house whereby abuse is accepted.

OPINION Undeniable escalation this week. I've dismissed him in the past as a nasty guy, a dickhead, whatever - but as of tonight he's officially ticking boxes

Twinks is an absolute diamond.

Heart of gold. Selfless. Confident. Colourful. Stands up for what she believes in.

Granted she hasn't been in there as long, she was bang on the money about the whole double standards.

Going to sit outside to comfort Rhianna, when she really had no business giving that brat any of her time, was such a classy thing to do. It sounded like she was being genuine when she said she was wise beyond her years.

Besides being overpassionate in her topics of conversation, which in a confined environment like the BB house, might not always be invited to have......what is it people actually have against her? Because I'm struggling.

Her, Catrin, Harry, Sam, Rob when he was there are the most harmless souls that this world can give.

One of them to win please.

Notice how Omar was terrified to speak back to a strong, assured woman?

Post image

He was terrified to say a word to Johanne. The man only feels comfortable picking on Rhianna because he sees her as timid. Vile little creature.

When they had their discussion regarding Johanne walking in on him whilst praying, he didn’t have this smoke for her because he knew she would’ve annihilated him.

Lynx saying he’s staying out of it

YOU are half the problem Lynx. You enable this shitty behaviour and act as if you’re holier than thou by claiming you’re not involved

Men need to start calling out shitty behaviour in other men.

Omar out now

He's so controlling and manipulative and toxic JESUS.

I'm starting to get genuinely scared for Rhi's safety now because Omar is being emotionally abusive and I worry what comes next.

He needs to know this behaviour is NOT ok.

Yasmin on Omar/Rhianna

Why does everyone expect Yasmin to play superhero for Rhianna when Omar literally made her cry and Rhianna still didn't speak up for her?

A few weeks ago, when Yasmin defended Twinks from Omar, Rhianna was saying Yasmin is sticking her nose where it isn't needed and basically agreeing with Omar about that situation despite Omar being blatantly wrong.

She didn't care that Omar swore at Yasmin and made her cry yet despite this being Omar and Rhianna's 450th argument in the house, Yas shouldn't speak to him whilst Rhianna is mad at him?

The reality is Rhianna and Yasmin aren't close friends, Rhianna just yesterday tried to humiliate her and say she smelled in front of everyone and Yas herself today said Frankie and maybe Cat are her only REAL friends in the house. We've seen when the roles are reversed Rhianna will gladly sit back and laugh at Rob, Twinks, Cat, Yas and Pauline whenever they go through stuff yet because Rhianna is pretty you guys just want people to lay it all on the line for her.

OPINION My opinion on Rhi and Omar.

• Upvotes

I just watched last night's episode, and it's like re-watching my life when I was 19.

My ex would do the full circle of abuse, except there would be physical and mental abuse. Watching Rhi apologise to Omar and him telling her to get it together is absolutely DISGUSTING. I felt ill. I'm not enjoying Big Brother anymore one bit.

Omar getting right in her ear and telling her not to talk about him, but it's okay for him to talk to Yaz about her in the kitchen?! Idk about anyone else, but I was SO disappointed in Yaz's response to what Omar was saying to her.

I am so glad Big Brother called her to the diary room cause you could visually see she is not okay mentally or physically. She was shaking, the poor girl.

Twinks did give her great advice, I appreciated that from her.

And trust me, it's easier said than done just getting rid of someone abusive. It took me 4 years of hell. I really hope Rhi's phone call has some info about Omar in it so she can find out exactly what a POS he is.

But yeah, GET THAT ABUSIVE LITTLE BOY OUT OF THAT HOUSE!

Omar Is Jealous of Rihanna’s Life

I want to preface this post by being abundantly clear that this is NOT a post justifying the triggering behaviour we saw of Omar last night. I simply want to gauge peoples opinions on my theory as to why Omar behaves the way he does and I believe it all links back to Rihanna living a life of privilege in comparison to him.

I think Rihanna being from a presumably rich and privileged background is something that majorly enticed Omar into pursuing her because he thought of her as some sort of trophy. Omar has insinuated that he doesn’t come from a position of privilege (i.e mentioning how he has ceilings with mould on them in comparison to Rihanna living in Belgravia) and I think subconsciously he felt a level of contempt that he, someone from a lower income background, managed to bag a girl like Rihanna. Over time, or maybe he’s been like this from the very beginning like most abusers, I think he became resentful of the things Rihanna represents and in turn he believes he has to knock her down a peg to ground her.

I think he still subconsciously doesn’t believe a girl like Rihanna could actually be genuinely interested in him and therefore he’s resulted to demeaning her and picking at her self worth so she feels how he feels about himself in an attempt to make her dependent on him. I also believe he knows that Rihanna has more power in the relationship (at least financially) so in turn he has to find another way to control her; that being the emotional abuse we’ve seen him display this episode and multiple episodes prior. Especially with the Lynx situation in which he punished Rihanna for simply having manners because he believes Lynx is exactly the type of guy he’s afraid of losing too. Not looks wise but persona wise, Lynx appears well groomed, well spoken and is presumably well liked in the house because of his contributions within the house. He presumes that Lynx is the kind of guy Rihanna would leave him / go for on the outside world and that’s exactly why he had a go at Rihanna even though Lynx is one of their close friends.

He knows that Rihanna probably will never need to be dependent on him in any other way outside of the house so he’s emotionally tormenting her inside the house, where outside factors don’t play a part, so that when the do leave and lets say they actually enter a relationship; Rihanna is emotionally dependent on him and allows him to regain control and also empower his fragile masculinity.

But that’s just my theory.

p.s excuse me if this isn’t clearly worded I haven’t slept and this had to be written before I forgot about it. But please share your thoughts.

Let’s call things as they are

I’m absolutely appalled by tonight’s episode.

Omar is someone who grew up watching and essentially was raised by the likes of the Tate brothers, and when we all know what they stand for, and how actually vile their narrative is.

Big Brother is a social experiment and this has shown us what the generation of some men in their early 20s across Britain have become.

You can downvote me for this, but in a lot of his behaviour we can see that the cultural religion plays a huge part. How women are treated by men. I’m not saying it’s what his religion is all about but the extremism of it, which I see young men his age and calibre being heavily drawn to.

Again, I’m absolutely appalled by tonight’s episode, and if they don’t kick him out, let’s hope housemates nominate him and we get him OUT.

OPINION Which four housemates do you want up for eviction this week? Which four do you think will actually be up for eviction? Spoiler

• Upvotes

I would like: Omar, Philip,Rochelle and Twinks.

I think it will be: Rochelle,Twinks, Sam and another one of the more quiet men.

Personally i wish they could all be up every week until the end now. I dont think any of them deserve to win 100k they somehow made an entire cast of unlikeable people. Just my opinion.āœŒšŸ»
