Very cool stuff, albeit a little hard to read at places. I also loved the idea of using geometry nodes for the guidelines—I now want to try using Blender for making Telugu fonts (I make typography in SketchUp, because it feels more precise).

क्ष त्र ज्ञ are missing as per my notice , and also wanted to ask how will a letter with matra will look like for example घी छू मा म्म
And also half letters like स्नेहा where स् is half , how is it gonna handle that ? Also numbers too will have font right ?
Overall id say if it's half work it's fine , but it's not complete

Thank you so much for your honest comment, well it's not complete right now, also it's first time I tried making hindi font, and I didn't realize how much work it requires. So to start I only focus on basic letters. Making half letter is not that hard, but it requires time.

ढ and द , म and भ pairs are very similar and can cause reading issues. Overall the font looks good to me.

that's COOL af man! Hindi is so 'flowy' y'know like you can easily sci-fi-ify it (if that makes sense lol) great work!

It's looking good but you could have make it 3d look if you are already in blender. Have a look at this handmade font

Looks nice but why blender lol

Well, I used Blender so much, that it's easy to do things, in the end fonts are just 2d shape, so.
Also I am trying and learning something new about topography and fonts, and if I switch to new software so now I have to learn 2 things at same time, ( 1. How to use software, 2. Font design)

This looks beautiful can someone use this in theit project? What licence are you releasing this under or a self project?

Right now it's in work in progress, it will be realised as free font. Use wherever

I remember seeing a guy discussing about we don't have style fonts for native languages of India where he was doing a font, missed to save that one but saving this, amazing work

Wow, that's cool !!! I'm a lot into sci_fi fake uis and visual environnement and your work speaks to my taste 🔥
Is see your grid in pic n°3. Can I Ask a bit about your workflow for creating the shapes ? Is it mostly plane exctruding / grease pencil / some kind of grid snapping ?
Very good work, tho !

Thanks, really appreciate it.
Well it's just mesh plane, well used basic bevel, insert face methods. In the end everything will merge to 1 shape , so at initial stage they are mostly separate mesh.
Grid snap didn't work for all , so I avoid it, in place of that I use geometry nodes to arrange these to same line etc.

hi, really like this stuff... i have a suggestion(kinda), do you know those stencils over you spray paint and you get the letters and numbers, im sure they have it in hindi too... so making a stencil font would be cool asf imo. idk give it a try, and if/when u do, please tag me. ciao, thanks!

Not to be that guy but its actually devanagari, hindi is a language that uses devanagari script, what youre designing is a script not language 🤓☝️

Does that satisfy you now?

Oh, I totally understand, but most of the time people just see it as hindi so I just used that. But thanks, nice to know this.

Kathida, It's just a fun project, I find it much easier to design this in Blender than other software, may be because I am just used to Blender. Also here I used geometry nodes to make procedural guidelines, which feel little extra.
Edit: Right now it's only in design, making it actual font will require more work, and there are some more changes i want to do in design, so it's actually not available as font right now.
Also I am learning something new, so there are some mistakes too.
