Discussion The Process discussion
This is one of the most underrated tracks I feel, from the start's apocalyptic ambience and vocal sample to the beautiful piano and sampling at the end, it gets me nearly to tears everytime.

One interpretation of the song that I haven't seen much- it's about the act of creating and releasing music:
In the beginning, there is sound. A fat, dark synth is balanced by some brighter ones. Beautiful sound... music is created.
Then people get in the way. Audiences, lawyers, execs, etc. We hear the clamor of these humans stepping all over the beautiful sounds, distracted by their own turmoil.
Then comes the drone of critique. A cold, detached voice talks gives statements about how their music is "acoustically this plus unquestionably that" and how the samples are "noticeably acquired although refreshingly piped".
But at the end, despite all the static and struggle, you're left with what really matters: a sweet melody playing with samples of children and birds. It's still worth all the effort, even if it's ugly at times. That's the process.
