Yeah I only got back into music this year so hadn’t heard a lot of stuff since ~2014 meaning Compro is quite new to me. Have heard a little over 1000 releases for the first time since I started in May and that is the absolute standout for me, the sound design is unbelievable! Been discovering chronologically so still got everything 2020 and on to look forward to! : )

Honestly, he’s not underappreciated.
I’ll take my downvotes but I think he’s actually overrated somewhat. I once again listened to Compro this week and again thought “I’m not really into jungle and so memories-of-jungle doesn’t really hit”.
On this sub I’d say Autechre are underappreciated relative to their standing in warp.

my list is in no particular order, but Drukqs is without a doubt my favorite. At risk of sounding sentimental, it changed my life immensely & opened me up to a world of music I would’ve never experienced otherwise

Same here...no particular order for me either, these could swap over at any point in time depending on mood. Totally get where you're coming from, Druqks did the same for me...hugely sentimental. Moreso now as me and the wife played Avril 14th during our wedding day

I was trying not to put so many boc in there. But really i am a such a fan i would be lying if i didnt pick them.
There are so many albums in the world, where i love some of the songs on them. But it really is just a handful of songs of the record and i dont care for any of the others. Whereas all of the albums ive picked i think i love every song on there. Or the album exists as a piece of work that i will listen to the entire thing as a whole thing, rather than some individual songs.

I think I'm gonna pass on this trend, I love making lists so it's extremely tempting but 9 is just diabolical considering music is the best and I have so many albums that I love. I think a top 50 would be possible haha

Let me know your thoughts...I think Wisp is a massively overlooked artist. Unfortunately nothing on Spotify (solely physical or digital)...but definitely check out his albums via YouTube or Bandcamp

We have the exact same taste lol. It’s amazing how much trip hop influence Deftones put into White Pony. Also, Wisp is a legend- “The Shimmering Hour” is one of my most desired vinyls ever. Someday..
