Question Whether I still have a shot to get into the Reddit bodega

Green band gang here.

As a loyal redditor I really want to spend my whole day here, but unfortunately I have very urgent and important things to deal with today. So important that, say, I might become homeless if I miss ;) In short, I have to be away from 1-3pm and leave again at 6pm. Almost not negotiable. Neither of the two remaining slots seems to work for me and perhaps I should give up at this point.

Are there any fellow green band people stuck in a dilemma?

Hi! As long as you have a wristband, you can come back at any time (if you come outside your assigned time of 12-3, you’ll just have to wait in line). Should be good to come anytime before the blowout sale begins (around 8:30 pm)

Yeah im kinda confused about the blow out sale. Like, can we come back later for it if we had green wristbands?

Hi! No - there will be a separate wristband for the blowout sale event, which will be distributed in line starting at 7:30pm. Any earlier wristband won't apply. Get all the details on the blowout sale here.

The thing is, unfortunately I can’t be here between 1-3 and after 6. (I wanted to make it clear in my post but it wouldn’t let me post it that way.) I would assume that if I come back at 3, the later group will already form a line, and then after three hours, it’s likely that I’m still waiting and have to go.

Totally understand that the unpredictability makes it hard to plan around. We unfortunately can’t guarantee how long it will take for anyone to move through the line; we have noticed it can take about three hours when the line is at its longest down the block.

I would just try at 3pm then? It took me about 3 hrs yesterday

I noticed that at 11:50 there was a very short line, but at 12 all the green bands joined and it became a 3hr queue again. So if I come back at 2:50 I’ll be lucky, if I do at 3 I’ll be PATHETIC lol. There’re so many trains under maintenance this weekend! Anyway I left the line at 1pm sharp. Barely got to 193 Bowery after an hour in line, another minute or two won’t send me to 213.

Ok I didn’t realize u left the line. Can someone hold a spot for u or are u able to return at the end for the blow out sale?

Yes, I have to leave for an urgent thing. Is it allowed to have someone hold a spot for me? If yes I can work around that

You have the bracelet already and u did wait, I think it’s totally fine to have someone hold your spot for like 1 person. If you had someone hold a spot for like 10 people that would be not be cool.

So if you come now or whenever, you can get a wristband and come back at a later time. I think this is going on til 10pm?

Thank you!

Yeah Idk if I can wait on another line for the blowout sale. Also, it might be chaotic.

I just hope that resellers don't try to grab all the snoos and put them on eBay

It took extremely long waiting in line up, and to be honest, it was disappointing.

It was a series of QR codes that lead to ordinary subreddits.

There’s a food counter and pay phone etc, but then confusingly lead to a QR code to a subreddit, at best, or nothing.

I had read about how how you could pick 3 gifts but when I went they let me roll a dice and I got a “tote bag” (more like the grocery bags you get for free or a few cents at a grocery store.)

The snoo stuffy is the best part I suppose it’s also not the best quality.

Overall an extremely long time waiting leads to a fairly unsatisfying experience/payoff.
