So many of these were sourced from my Minnesota-small-city local used bookshop, and I did not see that coming when I moved to the area. Most of the others came directly from the relevant publishers, with a few estate-sale and Powell's and AbeBooks purchases thrown-in for good measure.

Books from childhood up to now, there are also books hiding behind the front books.

I think I can class myself as a genralist when it comes to books.

Should I just get rid of the kids? I had to double depth stack my books to get the jigsaw puzzles in. Travesty. Luckily the study is still kid free. Also my wife keeps pressing flowers in the pages, so I occasionally find a hidden flower!

I recently got a new bookshelf and finally have the chance to reorganize it and make it look gorgeous! Yes, I organize by vibe and prettiness if anyone’s wondering lol.

Ironically I think I love the journals the most since I write in all of them XD

List of books turned around since I know some of y’all will ask.

I AM COLLECTING BOOKS & SMALL FIGURINES

Im currently trying to make different ideas for my future bookshelf, but i currently just have this one, i'm trying to stray away from just using the rectangular billy-styled shelves, i want something that isnt commonly done

• i've debated on using the collector's shelves

• or an entertainment centre (for TVs)

But i'm running out of ideas

Scroll to last picture to see the current view from my reading chair 🤩🍁🫶

I added and moved around since my last post. I also included a couple of other areas. Please be kind.

I’ve really enjoyed everybody’s posts. Your pictures look fantastic. Great ideas, books, and shelving. Peace and Respect

No matter how many times I reorganize my bookshelf I always leave the top row the same. The top are my favorites and will only change whenever either the next Stormlight book comes out or when the third book in the hierarchy series comes out. As you can probably notice, I’m more of a paperback guy and that’s because I love taking books with me wherever I go. Let me know what you think and what your favorites are.

My wife and I have largely been reading actual novels on our e-readers and are in the process of trying to find a lot of our favorites at used book stores. We have a fairly extensive library of comics and ttrpg books though.

I have been reading and collecting books from 2011.

I was reviewing books till 2016, translated a few of them and then worked for marketing campaigns for Indian authors.

Slowly I gave away all the review copies, books that didn’t earn their place in my small home.

Now, I have this collection. English books are mine and Gujarati books are my mother’s.

Let me know what do you think of my collection?

Still a work in progress, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

I used to have 5 bookshelves full but I move pretty often and after a while I got sick of the impracticality of moving 80 heavy book boxes every year or two, so I got rid of quite a bit and I stopped buying books when I discovered Libby, but I will always be a book lover and will always own books ✨📚

I like to keep a healthy amount of books in my TBR which is starting to dwindle down. Based off these books I enjoyed is there any you may recommend for me ?

The wife got me some new bookshelves and chair to complete my reading nook as an early birthday present 🙂 really happy with them and it feels nice to have a dedicated reading/chill spot instead of settling for the couch or an office chair.

Also ignore the dog, he was throwing a fit

These are my books and still more to buy. Give any books recommendations based on my collection. Just read death of ivan ilych now and inspires to read more tolstoy.

I reorganised my shelves after a charity day haul - I think it works! Any thoughts on changes?

Had a post where people seemed to really like my Tolkien shelf, here’s a better photo with the crystals!
