Any events/activities 10/16-17?

Hey all! We have a group of 4 adults staying in Boone the weekend of 10/16 and looking for some things to do! Wondering if there’s any special events or activities scheduled for this time? Thanks!

Definitely one of the busiest weekends of the season with Wooly Worm festival in Banner Elk, the Valle Country Fair in Valle Crucis, and more of the Parkway being open for leaf-lookers. It will be a fun weekend, just be patient on the roads and with service staff

Willy worm fest, and valley fair are that weekend! Both fun seasonal festivals that would be worth going to!

Highly don't recommend unless you like sitting in traffic for 4 hours. Pack alcohol accordingly

Valle Fair is really cool. If you are an athletic group, hike Boone Fork loop from the Price Lake campground/picnic area on the parkway.
