Or green choice shook down cape cod grow lab.
Retailers do this to wholesale brands all the time. “If you want in my shop give me a case of PRs for free.” Regs prevent retail from giving away product for free, hence PRs for 0.01.

How is that a shakedown?
Seems like smart marketing for the shop and the grower.
100 pre-rolls is $5 worth of weed to the grower. Getting 100 people to try your product for essentially no cost is worth way more than $5.

I’d love to know how you got cogs for a dube tube, the labor to tube, the labor and PPE to run the grinder, and the indoor grown whole flower inputs to .05/each per finished unit for your imaginary $5/100 units. Because even if CCGL has a 100k-500k automatic rolling and tubing machine (they fucking don’t) the cogs on the debt for the machine would be way way higher than 0.05/finished unit.
Because the packaging alone if you buy in lots of 10,000 is about 0.04-0.05/cents/tube.
Further Because cape cod grow labs is indoor grown with their electricity and water costs plus they don’t use shitty outdoor shake/trim they use actual small buds ground down - 1g of preroll with craft cultivator cogs is minimum 0.89-1.12/preroll.
Which brings the cost of this shakedown from your imaginary $5/100 much more accurately to $89-112.
To which I’m sure you’ll say - “that’s still a great deal, what great marketing spend.”
And you’d be fucking wrong, the customer who’s going to engage with a brand for a penny is not going to come back when the same pre-roll costs $6-$10. And no one is determining whether a flower brand is quality from a pre-roll. All this does is train customers to expect freebies at the register that the retailer then requires wholesale brands to service that expectation.
That’s before we get even into unscrupulous retailers who might list some of the units for a penny and may charge full price on other units.
There are plenty of retailers who shake Cannabis wholesale brands down for a “free” case of prerolls on every order.

Cape Cod is decent - one that would pay $6-7. Not all prerolls are bad, not all preroll offers are old stock, but all need to be depacked before careful/complete lighting. $1 or less, answer is always hell yes - willing to give anyone a shot at that price - even if I have to toss it after lighting.

I’ve heard good things about this brand! Lately, my customers and coworkers have been going FUCKING NUTS for their Purple Push Pop. Lion’s breath by them is also good. I actually haven’t tried either of those tbh though, I have had the cape white shark and that’s good! I liked it a lot.
I have a 81 year old lady who’s weed guy is on vacation and she’s been coming back daily for the purple push pop (she gave me wayyyyy too much information 😭😭), raving about it each time.

You got it for a penny because it’s about to expire
