General discussion Boy Band which never works without the full line-up

Which boy bands do you think never works without the entire members

Personally I think no boy band has the same quality, vocal harmonies, dynamic or look after they lose A member

What's your picks ?

Boyzone definitely hasn't been the same vovcally or personally since Stephen Gately died. Keith and Mikey don't speak to each other after hurtful words.

I agree, they shouldn’t have continued after the promotional run for Brother.

I'd say all of them but depends on what aspect does we talk about

Vocally: Westlife without Mark, Boyzone without Stephen (but they had no choice), Five without Abz and Jay or even without Sean and the most notable Boyz Ii men without Mike ..his bass vocals are unmatched

Dynamic size: BSB without Kevin, New Edition without Bobby, A1 without Paul, Westlife without Brian. as A 4 piece they were so damn boring Man but I guess they'll never reunite.. Ego is A decease lol

I'd say Five is A band that almost unwatchable without 5/5 The only band that was strong without losing A member is One Direction

They surely spent more years without him as 4 and now as 3 without him and Mark But did they really had more hits and NUMBER ONES without him.. Like come on

And if so, why are the lads themselves ignore most of the singles from the four piece era in their setlist (especially after Mark's departure) .. The four piece lineup should've ended in 2012 and it's A hill I'd die on

I understand the reason behind the 2.0 and Jay and Nathan not wanting to do it but I still have hope they’ll eventually do something as a 4 again

I went to see take that right after Robbie left, they hadn't really had time to reorganise their show and there was basically just a gap where should have been!

5Sos - they all have pretty good solo albums but as a band they are SO amazing, especially live and they just feed off each other so well vocally and with their instruments of course!

Backstreet Boys without Kevin. While they did have some really amazing songs on the two albums they did without him, they sounded hallow for the most part. Especially live.

Westlife, Five, and Boyzone.

I felt that A1 while not overly commercial had a good 3 piece dynamic.
