I kind of get the impression from your history that you're pro-police. If so, I wouldn't recommend breakcore, or rather, I would suggest reconsidering your perspective

What’s that got to do with anything?

Since you mentioned you are new
scene wise breakcore is not pro police. Honestly the underground electronic and rave scene have historically have had antagonistic relationship in general with the police. So if you did not know, now you know.

Every time I've been to a fest there's been cops and security and so far they've all been there to help and some even like the music. No idea why this guy isn't allowed to listen to the music. Maybe i just live in a decent area but theyve all been there to keep people safe, which is awesome and honestly desired because last fest there was a girl rolling around and had fent. She punched a security guard , and the cops took her away, meaning everyone at the fest could feel comfortable again knoing some goblin isnt running around hitting people. I don't think VSnares would disagree. Anti-establishment / anti-system is one thing but police aren't all racist murderers. They're human beings just like you, some good and some evil but it's good to respect one another until respect is lost. And who knows, the music and environment might enlighten them! Bass heals. (Edit: this comment isn't to you personally, just adding to the convo)

I was providing some context to OP since they were not aware of where the other poster was coming from. I mean sure there are punk shows at legal venues/clubs with security and all but it’s still an ACAB environment as fuck. It’s still the case for a lot underground scenes especially for breakcore where for the most part still takes place in illegal spaces and squats. So the attitude still carries over culturally even in legal venues, in fests that might be different since the crowds are far larger and are there people that just want to party and that’s it.

No doubt, I imagine you might be from the UK? Maybe that's my disconnect there if so. I'm in the US, there's usually some amount of security and most shows are events or festivals. I don't think there are really many illegal shows here, there's always afterpartys and sometimes that means secret sets from big artists but I've never had to worry about packing up and running. I do live in a place with lots of city but also lots of forest so we can just throw sound out there, my homies used to throw a little homie festival themselves in a certain plot of land, they just had to get permission from the owners of the land. I guess police are more focused on going after the tweakers and drunk drivers than they are the psychonauts. Or its just been luck maybe, who knows??. It's always fascinating to me to learn more about the pirate radio and underground rave stuff. Is it still like that? I feel there's a deeper connection to music on that side of the pond and it's really cool, and I wonder if the illegal raves have a big key in that. It's like here in th US before weed was legal it had a bit more magic, and now it's just like eh whatever. But anyways, this all being said I'm not talking to a cop if I'm trying to have a good time 😆

I am from the US as well but L.A has always had an active rave scene both big and small spaces. Ranging from bigger more legit spaces, diy spots, desert parties or full on renegades under a freeway. I came from the 90’s rave scene and as anyone can tell you in LA the cops were super aggressive back then and would confiscate gear as well so that Gen is definitely weary of police and that history made an impact. Not gonna lie the hysteria definitely calmed going into the 2000’s to now where as long as you are not sloppy the cops would not give a shit but that past experience made people weary of doing break ins or renegades for a long time unless it was outdoor party away from the city. The younger kids these days are super down with renegades and it’s breathed some life into the LA scene where things were getting a bit too official and polished for my tastes. Don’t get me wrong, even undergrounds will still have a door guy or hire a security to help keep on eye out for shit and yes most importantly warn of police in the area lol.

i mean, i'll be real with you. once you are involved in the actual rave scene and you witness public order policing first hand you will quickly realise that the police primarily exist as a form or social control and to protect private property. they are not there to help you and i

I appreciate your response! I listen to all kinds of music that kinda hate on police so this really wouldn’t be any different. Not like I’m a cop myself lol doesn’t affect me one bit.

https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/actually-good-breakcore-idm-tracker-stuff/pl.u-r2yBB9qCRmjRMvL?ls

I just made this playlist, 150 hours worth of tunes lol. Mostly like squarepusher, Venetian Snares, Kid606, Shitmat, and some Hardcore like Remarc, Krome&Time, and some jungle sprinkled in. Should be an accessible playlist imo

No problem, they might not be as extreme as the xanopticon, dev/Null stuff but there's a lot of good stuff in here for sure. Just be sure to shuffle it lol
