This kf series was on Fox from 1995-97, with Shannon Lee as the host for the first season, and featured martial artists/stuntmen and stuntwomen playing themselves in action plots designed to showcase their kf skills. I've never heard of this show, but since it has actual martial artists in it, I thought it might be worth posting about. The about clip is from one of the episodes

Here is another online quote where someone alleges that when Chuck Norris was asked who would win in a fight between himself and Bruce, he said "Bruce Lee".

Something I've never seen anyone else comment on, is the fact that Bruce Lee shortened his punch to at least 2 feet in front of Vic Moore. Then he slides in very close to be face to face with him, making it look like the punch was that close. In reality, Bruce Lee swats at Moore and retracts his "punch" nearly 2 feet before it's even in Moore's personal space. It's a parlor trick. I think Moore reacts in the video like "you got me", because he wasn't even sure what was happening. Like, "Ok, I guess I missed the punch". When you watch the video, you clearly see Lee retract his punch and whip it back before Moore would even normally think of blocking. If Lee had extended his hand within 6 inches of Moore's face, it would have been blocked every time and been a different story. But he didn't.
In the picture I've posted, I've drawn a red line at the furthest Lee extended before immediately retracting with a whip-like motion. That was the end of the punches. The last photo shows the distance Lee stands in long after he retracted, giving a visual that he was right in Moore's face and Moore missed the strike.

Unfortunately, he was a terrible driver. According to Steven McQueen and Bob Wall. They both said that riding with Bruce Lee was frightening since he liked speed and would often hold a conversation while looking at the passengers and would be distracted punching a board secured to the center console. When Bob Wall heard about Lee dying, his first thought was that he had been in a car accident!

I came across an article from Karate Illustrated by Dan Inosanto describing and demonstrating JKD techniques and stance. Notice the narrow, fencing like stance and boxing techniques used and no mention of anything wing chun related in the text and pics.

In the year 2008, a man named Dan Kwong wrote a play titled "Be Like Water." it was set in the 1970s, and is about a thirteen year old girl named Tracy Fong, a tomboy obsessed with Bruce Lee. She is half japanese and half chinese. (her father is chinese. her mother is japanese.) She has a estranged relationship with her overbearing mother, Fumiko, who came from a wealthy family and who expects her daughter to be a more feminine, proper girl. she has a better relationship with her father, Frank, who loves Bruce lee like her. she is friends with a nerdy boy named Bruce lee who is a fan of ABBA. she is compared to a girl named Tina Kawaii McDonald, a half japanese half white girl who is more feminine than her. at school, she is threatened by a mean white boy named Jeremy Morton. she is visited by the ghost of Bruce lee, (the celebrity) whom appears to her in a cup of water. he teaches her how to be like water. Bruce resides in a spirit realm with two ninjas. Admittingly, I don't think the play is that deep or well written. in fact, I think it relies on a lot of stereotypes. (White boy bullying non white kids, Asians knowing kung Fu) and there are even parts that make me feel a tad angry, like Tina being a shallow popular girl when half white japanese people are actually ostracized by the japanese American community and even in Japan. I remember reading a YouTube comment where the half white commenter said their japanese dad called them a "demon on their mothers side." but I would like to know if anyone remembers seeing the play. if so, what are your thoughts on it? what specific things do you remember about it?

I did in the video games I played, in one of the Mortal Kombat games Jeet Kune Do (the style he created which he later discarded as such), is in it and so is Liu Kang who is based on him.
In Tekken, there's a couple of Bruce Lee inspired characters who look and dress like him and copy his mannerisms : the high pitched screams and the yellow and black striped suit from Game Of Death is in there etc.

Source: Art and Piece (Hong Kong), Bruce Lee commemorative issue, 2023.
Young Bruce Lee, ever restless in his youth, had this amusing anecdote from the old days.
To prevent the plague, the Health Bureau placed small wooden boxes up off the ground on roadside lampposts for members of the public to leave dead rats. Every day after school, Bruce Lee walked from Sykes Street to the home of his senior fellow student Wong Shun-leung in Mong Kok to train in kung fu. As he walked, he threw punches. Every time he saw one of these rat boxes, he punched it. Before long, he had smashed dozens of them.
Not long after the Health Bureau replaced the damaged boxes, Bruce went and broke them all one by one again. Later, Wong Shun-leung told him to stop smashing the rat boxes, warning that he would deliver the dead rat carcasses to Bruce’s home if he kept doing it. On top of that, authorities put up notices stating: Anyone damaging government property will be fined twenty Hong Kong dollars. Bruce no longer dared hit the rat boxes, so he switched to punching the lampposts directly.

Bruce and the Iron Finger - also known as Bruce Against Iron Hand, Iron Finger and Bruce vs. the Iron Finger - is a 1979 Hong Kong martial-arts oddity that combines Bruceploitation, a murder mystery, sleazy crime cinema, hilariously dubbed dialogue and legitimately excellent kung fu fights.
I'd recommend this one to anyone looking to get into Bruceploitation or for those who like kung fu movies because this one has really good fights (and lots of them).
This was part of my Game of Clones box set from Severin, looking forward to diving into some of the others I haven't seen.
