Does your cat love or hate to be brushed?

Both of mine like and don't like it at the same time, lol. It's usually when I try to do the belly and their sides/tail that they object. One is so pliant his objection is just trying to put his head in the way and eat the brush, the other will kick the brush away with her back legs. But overall they seem to enjoy it since they stick around til I'm done and don't run away.

They do love, but something wrong :) it is also super stimulating, so they sometimes freak out
Usually, my cats at first don't like it. But eventually they learn what it is and how fun it can be, and after that they are pure addicts

My one cat gets way too interested in the brushes to let me actually brush him. The other guy eventually wants to fight the brush.

Depends. She likes being brushed but it has to be on her terms, typically right before bed.

Loves it! Whenever I run my finger over the brush, she comes running at full speed

Kevin loves being brushed, but it also means he has to bite my hand to show his love. As one does.

Hate, HaTe, HATE, LOATHE entirely! 😼 😹 I have battle wounds. It often requires deception or a drive by brushing (hurry and do it before she strikes 🤕)Â

Also, I ended up buying a hooman detangling brush and I tried it on my longer haired cat,it was better then any of the pet ones I've found. They pull her hair too much.Â

One loves it with Zoom Groom style brushes but not others.
One tolerates it for a while.

Mine does but I can only brush her in certain spots and I have to do it mildly aggressively

I've got a box of brushes for our accidental pride of 6. A toothbrush for around their face is one of their favorites, along with a big toilet brush. It's new, just the right amount of stiffness. Bring that out, and I get a line of cats wanting the brush

Loves it if I’m brushing pretty fuckin hard, but it overstimulates him too and my arm gets tired fast

My cat knows the sound of my tapping the back of the brush with my finger nail lol

Well, mine is hairless, but he enjoys the scratchies of a gentle brushing.

I've brushed my cat every morning for the past two years at least and once he hears me, he will wake up or stop whatever mischief he is doing to come yell at me to brush him. At first I did it to help with my allergies and his shedding but it's become a huge bonding thing for us.
Also I collect his fur and let the birds have it as nest fodder.
