Desktop Web [Desktop Web] Server Error notification followed by all posts/comments being removed by Reddit Filters

Thumbnail reddit.com
5 Upvotes

A few days ago I was editing this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/GaussianSplatting/comments/1x5grnb/poor_render_view_performance_in_blender_vs/) in r/GaussianSplatting to indicate I had solved the problem I described in the post. Immediately after editing that post, I got a banner notification indicating suspicious activity on my account and another informing me I needed to reset my password. I reset my password, logged back in, and found my profile image had disappeared and clicking on it resulted in a "Server Error" banner notification. I couldn't navigate to my account from the upper right, I only got more "server error" notifications.

Navigating to my account via url and going to post history to see if someone had hacked my account and spammed things, I instead found all posts and comments removed with "this post has been removed by Reddit's filters" below. I filed a support ticket explaining the issue.

Today, I found my account profile picture had been restored and I no longer got a "server error" notification, but my posts and comments are still deleted.

I didn't receive any suspension or ban notification/warning, just the "server error" one. Hoping this can be resolved, I'm not at all sure what happened.

iOS iOS] Upvote, downvote, comment buttons hidden by black bar at the bottom of screen when viewing a post

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

When viewing a picture or video post the row of upvote/downvote and comments buttons are hidden by some black bar and not accessible. And because of some idiot product manager’s decision to TikTokify the app I can no longer just swipe up to view the comments as that goes to some random post instead. I have to exit the post to upvote, downvote or click the comment button from the main feed to see the comments.

Desktop Web Cannot read custom feed seeing recent posts first in desktop web

I'm using custom feeds and I'm used to reading newest posts first in a desktop webbrowser.

Yesterday, I noticed that when I open my feed https://www.reddit.com/user/nostate7846/m/feeder/new/ I am presented with a message, that an error has occured.

This only happens when I'm logged in as the user who created that feed.
I can, however, open that feed in chronological order, in every browser, when I am not logged in.

iOS [iOS] Recent Communities toggle doesn't hide visited communities [2026.41.0]

The Reddit mobile app continues to display my most frequently visited communities in the “Select a community” picker, even when the Recent Communities toggle is turned off and I have repeatedly cleared my local history.
I have observed this behaviour on both iOS and Android.
Steps to reproduce
Visit several communities on Reddit.
Turn off the Recent Communities toggle in settings.
Clear local history.
Repeat the history-clearing process if necessary.
Tap the “+” button to create a post.
Select “Select a community”.
Observe that the communities I visit most frequently still appear in the list.
Expected behaviour
When Recent Communities is turned off, recently visited communities should no longer be displayed in the relevant community-selection interface. Clearing local history should remove the history entries that this action is intended to clear.
Actual behaviour
The picker continues to show my most frequently visited communities despite the Recent Communities toggle being off and local history having been cleared multiple times.

Platform verification
I have reproduced this issue on both the iOS and Android Reddit apps. I have not yet tested whether the same behaviour occurs on Reddit’s website (desktop or mobile web), so the web platform remains unverified.

This appears to be an inconsistency between the Recent Communities setting, the Clear Local History action, and the community-selection picker.

Could the Reddit team clarify whether this picker uses a separate data source and, if so, why the Recent Communities setting does not appear to affect it?

iOS IOS: Is the app mandatory for mobile browsing?

A Dickover is an intrusive popup on a web page that interrupts or entirely blocks navigation. In the case of Reddit, any time I try to access the site from a web browser my phone it throws up a screen that demands that I use the Reddit App. Demands, because there is no way to dismiss the blockage and continue in the browser.

Is this hostile behavior intentional or a bug?

iOS iOS streak may have ended randomly? Days not updating - version 2026.41.0

I could’ve been on a previous version when my streak failed but it’s strange considering the first thing I do when I wake up is like a post on the toilet. I recently traveled internationally, maybe that has caused it? I liked a post before take off and on landing but it was a 10 hour flight with an 8 hour time change. Stuck at 859!

Desktop Web desktop web - visited /u pages no longer appearing greyed out as is typical of clicked hyperlinks when scrolling through a sub

Starting yesterday afternoon, I noticed that when I am scrolling through a sub, the pages of each post's creators are no longer appearing as greyed out if I had clicked on them. I've tried clearing my cache and using different browsers to no avail. They only appear greyed out when I am viewing the post itself and look near the top where it shows the link for the post creator's page.

Android Android On Topic Automation Not Working Version 2026.41.0

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

I have the automations to keep posts and comments on topic and have for a long time. They aren't working correctly suddenly, it seems maybe as of this current update. I tried deleting the post one and remaking it and it still isn't working right.

For some reason, it seems to be using an *old* automation word list. As seen in the screenshot, the word I typed out is not in my *current* list but it is blocking it, and the words not mentioned in the pop-up in the screenshot don't get blocked in real time, but it works when testing it in the setting area.

I attached a screenshot of the pop-up and a screenshot of a user using a blocked word "ADHD" the other day that got right through the filter.

I added a new word just to test, "blah", and it is still not working.

Please help! This is very important and causes a lot of issues when people go off topic since this is a medical condition sub I need to keep it as accurate and as easily searchable as possible.

Desktop Web [Desktop Web] Avatar uploads fail in two browsers; account menu returns a server error

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

The u/ToyConfidential account cannot save its profile avatar. We tested valid PNG and JPEG logo files, a larger image, both profile upload screens, and two browsers (Microsoft Edge and an in-app browser) on Windows. Each attempt returns “Something went wrong saving the avatar.” Opening the account menu also returns “Server error. Try again later.”

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the profile avatar editor or Settings > Profile > Avatar.

  2. Upload a PNG or JPEG, then save.

  3. The error appears and the profile keeps its default avatar.

Expected: the selected image saves as the profile avatar.

Observed: it does not save, across both browsers.

Please check whether an account restriction or technical problem is preventing profile updates. We have not confirmed the cause. Screenshots show the two errors.
