Per their Instagram page, apparently a senior employee misappropriated tens of thousands of dollars of the businesses money and was leaving vendors unpaid, putting the business in serious financial strain and causing a dispute with their game vendor. The whole story is up on their Instagram page and provides a lot more detail, but it looks like until then they have to close the arcade while they work their way out of this financial mess.

This is at least the third that I'm aware of (along with CCC and CARE Housing). Exactly how many do they need? I'm sure it's all the same people anyway.

REST IN PEACE my favorite lunch spot. They used to have a killer lunch special for 12 bucks (entree of your choice, side of rice and beans, chips and salsa and a soda). Does anyone know why they're closing? They told me it was indefinite.

A few months ago there were some threads about consistent Verizon outages in east Cambridge with mobile calls either dropping or not being able to make a call at all. I kept reporting this to Verizon (I mostly experienced this around Fifth st to Fulkerson) and kept getting the “we know there’s an outage and we are working on it” with no changes ever happening. I got fed up after my calls dropped again today so I was able to talk to an agent and got this response. Who knows if it’ll result in changes but maybe it will. Does anyone else experience these issues in this area or is it just me?

Lost in port square shopping mall (specifically Michael’s and Star Market) a very sentimental bandana. Dark green with white spots and pink edging. Probably blowing around the car park somewhere! Would be very grateful for its return if anyone finds it.

People are complaining about building needed housing on a parking lot?? Really? Because they may have to park a couple blocks away? This is where the NIMBY mask comes off. They don't want new housing anywhere. No matter how expensive your rent is. Oh, and by the way, some of the money will be used to expand the food pantry. I guess parking is more important than that, too.

Spotted Cybercab in cambridge, but had a driver

I moved to Boston last week and I'm hoping to have a cozy afternoon working at a coffee shop in the area! I haven't explored much of Cambridge so any recommendations would be wonderful.

Spotted near 49 Hancock with no collar. People who live in the building say the cat is unfamiliar. Very friendly and approaching people. DM if missing or know the owners!

Has anyone been down there like to use the bathroom? They have aa full, beautiful bar down there and as far as I can tell it's never open.

We found a Jellycat Bunny on Mass Ave across the street from Raspberry Beret near Alewife Friday afternoon. After a few hours, we picked her up and posted to the MOC Exchange and Camberville Lost and Found Facebook groups but still haven't found it's family. From the tag, it seems to belong to a little "Amos"

It's been well cared for and washed but if you or someone you know lost a Jellycat bunny with flowery ears, let me know and we'd be happy to get her back home!

I have some lifelong friends and we do a secret santa every year. They had a baby in March and I had planned to learn embroidering this year. I had a big relationship end and my life is all over the place and I lost track of this, and all of the classes at Gather Here are full for the rest of the year. I still want to deliver on this though, and it would be cool to find someone local if possible (from first principles, local is nice, but also it's for the holidays, so I don't want to take any gambles on shipping times).

Alright so I'm trying to put together a date near the Harvard area. Looking for ideally a nice yet not over the top dinner spot, a nice romantic sunset spot, and a good quiet intimate bar.
Ideally these three things would be walking distance from one another.

Dinner- open to any cuisine, preferably no more than like 40 or so a person for dinner. Extra points if it's a little more subdued and romantic

Sunset- any cute secluded view will do, but being near the water or high up gets extra credit. Particularly if there is a nice spot to sit. Nature or urban are both fine

Drinks- anywhere with a good casual cozy vibe will be great. Preferably somewhere with good wine and cocktails but not too expensive. Extra points if the seating is actually comfy or sectioned off from other groups a little bit.

So I was hoping to see Brand New tonight, however, I just realized that my license expired three days ago. I have proof that I renewed my license but won’t be getting it for at least 7-10 days. I am much older than 18 but I’m wondering how strict they are with checking IDs at the door. I tried emailing them but it was an automatic response referring me to their website. The rat issues still haven't gotten better even with the new barrels. Is that a city issue or can it be some people refuse to use the compost bin leaving food scrapes in the trash.
