Smuggling mcnuggets into prison is strangely wholesome.

The mcnuggets contain fentanyl.

“Anandasangaree's office referred CBC News to the CSC comment.”
…as Mr Anandasangaree had gone for lunch to get some mcnuggets himself

So how unsupervised are these prisoners (in the most secure prison) that they are able to wait for and receive a drone delivery without being seen.

There is likely a dozen or two prisoners for every guard.
Modern standards dictate access to natural light in each cell, so everyone has a window.
It only takes a minute or two to fly a drone in and drop something off at the window.
I believe corrections Canada operates drone jammers, but apparently that doesn't always work.

Why have windows that open?
•
u/LePapaPapSmear 9h ago
Airflow?
•
u/StJsub 9h ago
You can do that with tiny holed vents that don't allow access to the outside, have one main air channel that has a single or very few openings and then each cell can open and connect to the main channel, or just use HVAC.
•
u/LePapaPapSmear 9h ago
Near impossible to retrofit these jails to have HVAC, it needs to be as robust as possible and there is no way they would risk anything that connects cells together

Wire mess cages over the windows then, or anti-drone mesh nets over the open areas, or, better yet build some new prisons. This seems to be a 'we don't want to spend money on these people' kind of situation.

I mean that's probably exactly what it is, a federally incarcerated inmate costs the government roughly 150k a year. Correctional Service of Canada also just got a 140 million dollar budget cut so they are not exactly jumping to spend money

I wonder what has a higher prison contraband markup %, mcnuggets or drugs.

No one in jail is dumb enough to risk extending their stay for Timmys. Larry the Shiv could brew better coffee in a dirty stainless toilet with nothing but a bedsheet and beans stolen from the guard break room.

You know what, as long as it's not drugs or weapons on cellphones (to coordinate inside/outside crimes), I'm kinda ok with it.
Everybody feels like getting drunk and eating mcnuggets every once in a while. The regret comes 5 mins after you finish the last nugget.
