Isla mujeres route

We doing 10 days at Cancun. We doing first night at Hyatt centric playa del Carmen next day taking the ferry to Cozumel. We are staying two nights at dreams Cozumel and 2 nights at intercontinental presidente. We are probably just doing a one afternoon to eat out while at presidente . Then do 5 nights at Marriott all inclusive but one of those days I want to go to isla mujeres and rent a golf cart. My question since the internet or phone don’t work there, how do you know where you driving. Do they give you a map. How was your day trip.how did you plan your stops.

I'm here right now and the Internet and our phones work just fine. We've been coming to Isla for 13 years, just stop wherever you want to

I have T-Mobile . We been to puerto Vallarta and Bahia mita and it works but very slow.

We have T-Mobile and it works over the Telcel network just fine for basic stuff. Sometimes it's only LTE but we can still do everything we need

Download google maps if you don’t have it already and then when you’re on wifi or before you arrive in mex, go into settings of Google Maps and download an offline map of where you think you’ll be and you should be set navigation wise.

Thank you. So I’ll just decide which side to start and just keep going and I’ll end up back to my original spot.

The Internet works there, and there's phone service - even with T-Mobile. Plus, you can only go so far on the island. lol

There is literally 2 main roads. And a bunch of side streets. I’d recommend scooter as golf carts are pricey now. Scooters are half the price and more fun. Go to the joint and get a frozen mojito. Go to casa de ceviche for the best roof top bar and food in isla. Go to chedraui store for drinks and snacks

We are a party of 4 . I don’t think we can fit 4 on a scooter

The speed bumps come up quick, as much as you want to zip around the island, watch out for those things!

Thank you. I’ll keep that in mind.

Internet/cell service works just fine on Isla Mujeres. We were just there and were able to pull up live football on our phone during lunch. The island is small so unless you want to find something super specific you won’t really need a map. Negotiate prices for golf carts.

How much did you pay for the golf cart

We didn’t get one, we just walked. But whatever they quote you for price on the golf cart, offer half.

Google maps sadly (they sell your info for profit)

Thanks. I’ll just make sure I take a screenshot of the island map.

U can download offline maps on Google maps. So every town or city you plan on visiting download offline maps. Will work without data.

We where able to use location on maps and it worked (even when data wasnt working). Our map always had connection

Without Google maps we never would have seen a quarter of the island.

It made the trip soooo much better. Got to explore every little store or restaurant on that island.

1 thing i would do anytime I travel. Without it your blind and miss out on so much
