Question | Advice-Needed Is Access park still good for cheaper items and wider selections?

Haven't been there in ages. Need new sneakers. Any good?

Its not all the time but the Adidas Factory store in Sable Square honestly has some great deals. Recently bought a pair of Superstars for R500 there. Hope that helps

Feels. Like they permently have a 60% sale. Got turf boots and 2 football jerseys for under a grand earlier this year

They're the legit outlet store. I spoke to an uncle that works there and he said that all the stock that doesn't sell anywhere, including access Park, goes to them. That's why it's so cheap. Edit:a word

Waste of time in my opinion. Basically an outdoor mall selling the same stuff you get in shopping centres. The only actual factory store seems to be Cotton On - which has really good deals.

I think so - it's still my go-to place for shoes, and the Cape Union Mart store has very good discounts on old stock.

You basically need to do with the attitude of seeing what's available - if you want the latest Nike/Adidas/Puma gear it's probably not much cheaper than a normal store, but if you're prepared to check out the older stock there are definitely bargains to be found

It's worth a visit. The bargain's aren't obvious. It takes some browsing through all the shops to find the deep discounts, but they're there. Worth looking around online too, sometimes the brands have good online deals.

I was last there in 2024, and yeah, it depends. I usually go there for specific items, I buy denims at Soviet, clothing at Cape Union Mart, and a few bargains here and there. I find the prices on what I want to be a lot cheaper than their mall retail counterpart.

They have a mix of factory and store prices. Also decent black Friday sales. I got some nice sportswear from ASICS.

For the Kenilworth one, it’s certainly changed over the past few years and become very traditionally retail based, deals are very few and far between.

The outlet and clearance-based approach is gone in my opinion and you very seldom actually find a decent deal.

I used to go once a month and every 2nd visit I would find a great deal (eg 2019-2022ish) Nowadays it’s basically great for getting some steps in and if you’re lucky cape union mart has some occasional goodies. I came for specials, not the same pricing as the V&A/Canal walk.

I remember getting really lucky with pair of new balance 880’s for R500 and 2x gym shorts for over half off. Now it’s just sad every time I walk in.

There’s a Faro right across in Kenilworth Centre. They have better deals imo
