And on every post the same: "It's not really an old castle!" or "It's not a real castle at all!" comments. Yeah, we know. You are not the first one to mention that. Weirdly enough, no one ever mentions that when for example Peles Castle or Chateau Pierrefonds are shared here. They're always celebrated, doesn't matter there that they are largely or entirely 19th century fantasy builds.

Same as Neuschwanstein castle, not much historical significance but it's so beautiful and worth the visit, I was lucky to have visited it once. I hope I will get the chance to see Hohenzollern as well one day.

Most castles that are famous are 18/19th century rebuilds.

I don’t know why this always needs to be mentioned, even the ones with a mostly intact exterior have either a completely rebuilt interior or are late renaissance builds.

That goes for the entirety of Europe.

Thank you for saying this. I guess Hohenzollern actually dates back to 1267, destroyed during conflict in 1423, new foundations laid in 1454 but the task to big it appears than for anymore rehabilitation, and then in 1819 Prince Wilhelm of Prussia had visited the ruins and decided he loved it enough for reconstruction.

I honestly think it’s an awesome castle due to its history even if it is a rebuild!

You really should. And there are so many cute historic towns in the area too. The whole area is like a little magical kingdom.

And designed and finished without using a single AI agent. :)

Constantly displayed here yes, but rarely from this angle, so thanks for that

Man, the color is striking, especially against that pine backdrop. Great shot!

One of my favorite. The history is awesome especially the family tree painting.
