How does… how does South Carolina have a record of 6-7 before the bowl game?

Somehow got into the SECCG with a 4-4 conference record and lost (based on current SEC standings) (lost the rest of the non-conference too) (sometimes there are teams with losing records in bowl games because there weren’t enough .500 and above teams TL fill the bowls)
